Waratahs v Brumbies, 7.45pm, Sat 8th June, BankWest (Parra) Stadium

Strong team with all Wallabies intact. Will be a hard fought match no matter which way it goes. HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) off the bench for 30 - 20 minutes is a real handful, and can turn momentum with his ruck involvements.

    RD 17: Crusaders v Rebels

Would that be the strongest starting front row the Rebels have put out all year? Crusaders taking no chances after last week's unexpected loss. Would be probably the strongest team they can put on the field too.

    Rnd 17: Reds v Blues

Just a question out of interest Bobby. Why go to the trouble of describing pigs as a collective noun, which by definition is singular, and then use the plural version of the verb after it?

    23 and under Wallabies squad

A few young talents in the Force too who could well come into contention for higher honours in coming years. Deegan (No 10); Fines (No 9); McGregor (No 15), Ferris (No 6/7); Lee-Warner (Lock); Lloyd (No 1). Think they're all still 23 or under.

    Rebels 2020

Frisby? I wouldn't go there myself, but I don't know how desperate the Rebels might be if Genia goes o/s.

    World Rugby U20 Championship 2019

Was under pressure against Japan, NZ and Fiji in the recent tournament on the Gold Coast. Probably the most disappointing aspect of the team overall. Actually, really hammered by the Japanese scrum.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Looks like in some people's eyes Isi needs to wear a light blue jersey to be considered Wallaby ready (Wells and Swinton FFS). In my opinion, he has been the stand out No 8 in the Aussie conference all year and warrants selection in TRC and RWC.

And their resting requirements too, Slim. KOB, you are right with the props, TK and Arnold needed to be rested, but also Folau Fainga'a. As Slim has indicated, they have all satisfied their resting loads.

    RD 16: Rebels v Tahs

I recall a game in NZ a year or two ago where a similar situation occurred. The tackler was carded (red from memory) but later exonerated because he had been bumped by another player and it was judged that that caused the collision. The same happened with Cottrell. He was bumped by DHP just...

    RD 16: Rebels v Tahs

Seems to me, Barb, that you have described the situation where just about every coat hanger (stiff arm) tackle originates. It is a reflex action when the tackler is travelling at full speed and the ball carrier steps inside. Same happened with Rona. Both situations (high, stiff arm tackle and...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Nic was roundly condemned for missing touch with usually one kick per game. By the same measure, Foley should also be targeted for criticism. He misses at least as many as Nic used to, and with only half the distance gained. Many fans, other than Brumbies ones, had almost a pathological dislike...

Super Rugby 2019 Predictions - Aussie Conference

Have to admit I overlooked the bye this week for the Chiefs. Will make it extremely difficult for them. Highlanders fate lies in this week's game v the Bulls. Win that and they will be a big chance to make the finals with their last match against the Rebels. Would also place pressure on the...

Super Rugby 2019 Predictions - Aussie Conference

Would mean both the Tahs and Reds have to beat the Brumbies. If that happens, no need for any Aus teams in the finals at all. I am thinking the Chiefs might sneak into the finals at the expense of one of the Saffa teams and probably the second Aus team.

Twice bitten (Folou and Hooper), third time shy?

    RD 16: QLD v JAGUARES (AKA Argentina) - Lang Park 1/6 7.45

Reds can do the Brumbies a hell of a favour if they can tip out the Jaguares tonight. As well as giving themselves a chance of finishing further up the log.

I think it's already starting to hurt, WOB. Big chance that there will only be 2 NZ teams in the finals this year, and despite the outstanding form from the Crusaders throughout the year, they are only a missing Mounga away from a loss at any time. If the exodus from the Highlanders is typical...

    RD 16: Rebels v Tahs

Well. that was poor. The Rebels' game plan was atrocious; just keep kicking the ball away even into the last minute or two when they were chasing the game. And I am really off Genia too. Too often his service at the back of the ruck is slow; time after time he picks out a stationary player to...

    RD 16: QLD v JAGUARES (AKA Argentina) - Lang Park 1/6 7.45

Is Ruan Smith really the LH prop reserve, or is it just a mix up with the numbers on their backs? Don't know anything at all about Gav Luka so can't take a line through where he usually plays.
