    Wallabies 2019 Thread

QH, the record of the Wallabies with a good measure of Tahs players making up the core over the past 4 years has been the worst in the professional era. Right now, Hooper is the only player worthy of a Wallaby jersey. Kepu or Robertson, Dempsey and Foley will make the squad, but few others if...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

As a Nic White fan, I have no issue with him being in the 23, but has he been confirmed yet with one of the Super Rugby teams? I am a permanent anti-Beale person, based on his many behavioural antics over many years. But apart from that, I don't think he offers the stability and security at 15 that DHP...

And Brown or Cusack on the bench. Miller will be just injury cover I think.

Agree RC. Just a pity that Coleman's form has dropped off. If he doesn't improve in the next 3 super games, I would like to see Matt Philip come in for his aggressive play. Nearly everyone here is now talking the same pack, with Slipper/Sio the main point of contention. So, Slipper/Sio...

    Brumbies 2019

It would leave a big hole if Christian goes down. I'm sure I've seen Simone play 10 for Norths in the past, and 12 and 13, and he has the look of a ball playing No 10 about him. But he is starting to do the job at 12 and could be developing an effective partnership with TK in the centres...

    Waratahs 2020

Yeah, I meant Sio. I was also impressed with a couple of Norths' games I saw Pat Tafa play. He is good, but I do think Harris is the outstanding back rower so far on display in the U20s.

    Waratahs 2020

I think this is the crux in 2019. Without the likes of Folau, Kepu, Phipps, Foley and possibly Beale in 2020, there should be a surfeit of funds available for recruitment for 2020. But who's available for it to be spent on?

    Waratahs 2020

Pat has been a disappointment, then. I do recall seeing some excellent SS games from him. But I agree, Harris especially will be a top class player in a year or so. IMO clearly the standout at the recent U20s tournament on the Gold Coast. And that's not disparaging the likes of McReight...

R15: Waratahs vs Jaguares @ Western Sydney Stadium - Saturday 25 May 2019

Just one more comment KOB. Jaguares scored 3 tries to the Tahs 2 if I recollect correctly.

BH, any thoughts on Pat Sio strengthening the back row?

This comment, coming from possibly a delusional Tahs' fan is the best laugh of the season. Not having a go personally at you S&G, but any Tahs fan who thinks someone criticising the efforts of the Tahs this year is not being objective must be hiding from the truth.

KOB, if you didn't notice how much more effective the Jaguares attack performed than did the Tahs, then I'd assume it is you who is unable to allow yourself to see the whole picture. Which stats in particular; those on the scoreboard at the end of the game? You might also care to have a look...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Odd to have 4 backs on the bench. Can't say I've ever seen it and really I don't ever expect to see it. Otherwise, I'd start with Sio and have Slipper on the bench. That is looking like the best use of them at the Brumbies. Folau Fainga'a will be the hooker. Rangi probably won't even make...

Are they not struggling right now?

Calling it as I see it KOB. Hanigan might have been good from a Tahs POV, but I guarantee you the majority of posters and fans from other teams see nothing in him to excite them. I think my question was, who enhanced their prospects. Foley was outplayed by a novice. He did not enhance his...

    RD 15: Sunwolves v Rebels

Never rated Roach highly even when at the Tahs. I think the power of Uelese and the madness of Rangi will be required for the Tahs next weekend.

    Waratahs 2020

Leaving myself open here to accusations of being a troll, but I'd really like to see Beale move back overseas. When he goes, I will be able to at least support the Tahs against international sides in Super Rugby again.

    Waratahs 2020

Michael A and Angus T have certainly been in the Tahs system, but neither was apparently valued. Tyrel Lomax was with the Brumbies prior to leaving for NZ, as far back as when he was in the U20s. Not sure that he was ever in the Tahs system. EDIT : Right at this moment, I can't see any of them...

Actually, the Tahs scrum was pretty good. Held their own and even going forward on occasion.
