NRC Rd 6: Canberra Vikings v Sydney, 12pm 5 October

    Sydney’s backs are killing them.

NRC Rd 6: Canberra Vikings v Sydney, 12pm 5 October

Vikings back in front with a well taken length of the field try. Poor lineout control by Sydney led to a dropped ball which Vikings pounced on. Some very good offloading in the sequence.

NRC Rd 6: Canberra Vikings v Sydney, 12pm 5 October

Interesting game so far. Initially I thought it looked like Canberra were going to put up a big score - and they still might. Sydney’s backs playing a bit like they met in the car park. But Sydney’s forwards have been good in the last 15 and have brought Sydney right back into it. The Vikings...

    Australian Schoolboys / Under 18s 2019

That was a cracker of a try. Nice to see it being scored by a team in gold and with some great attacking skill and flair being demonstrated across the park.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

Well, I do. The problem isn’t at all that who plays 10 is irrelevant because of our playing style. It’s that of the three options the Wallabies have, 1 is clear out of form, the second has been patchy and the third has been actually quite good - but that has been off the bench, his past...

As a point of interest, his sister just played in the State Champs for girls 7s.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

Pretty sure I also remember him playing 10 at the Brumbies and being ordinary for periods as well - but maybe I’m wrong. I can’t remember him being successful at all as a starting 10 for the Wallabies and, if he has been, it has been for occasional games rather than over a prolonged period...

    Reds 2020

I think historically that is correct, however I thought JP upped his game a far bit in their stint with the Reds, particularly in 2018 (they probably both went backwards a bit in 2019). Both of them are pretty handy though and I would have thought they would both be regular members of our 2020...

The thing I love about the rankings is that they are a great conversation starter.

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

Indeed. See I was always more a fan of the Boonie approach. Score a ton, raise the bat once, adjust the box and take gaurd for the next delivery. Michael Slater has a lot to answer for.

    RWC Week 3 matches

Very clever little kick ahead by the USA winger. The French are under the pump here.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

I assume that Sio was deemed more needing a rest or maybe nursing some sort of injury. With only 5 props it is hard to give everyone a spell. Hopefully they get Ala'alatoa off after about 30 though.

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

Clearly I’m too old too. Never understand the need to celebrate every success like it’s a game winning play. I assumed it was just the backs trying to get on TV.

Are you sure he isn’t just getting away from Taniela Tupou???

Interesting move. Based on the info in the first page he has been released from the final year of his contract. Pity to lose him, but I wish him well.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I dunno. The way that reads to me is that it was made clear to him he wouldn’t be part of it going forward and so he moved on. It doesn’t seem that overly derogatory to Cheika - more just stating a fact. Honestly I think he at least deserves some credit for how little he has said to the media.

    Waratahs 2020

Nawaqanitawase looks a very good prospect to me. As do Harris & Harrison. Bell looked good too, but I am not 100% confident he can step up at the next level. I don’t thing you ever really now that about a prop especially for 2-3 years. NSW have some good young kids in their stable plus a core...

I never really understood why people hate Gwyneth. I guess she’s lucky she doesn’t play 10.
