    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

The selection of 15 might depend on the selection of 12 & 13 (and maybe 10 - although I personally think it is unlikely they will pick To'omua at 10). I expect JOC (James O'Connor) to fill one of the jerseys, in which case DHP at 15. If they happen to go with Kerevi & TK, then I think Beale at 15 becomes a lot...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

No I’m not. You’re ignoring that it is no more excusable for TK to burn an unmarked support player than it is for Kerevi to. Something TK does regularly and has done consistently over his career. If he didn’t, we wouldn’t even be having this discusssion. The fact that you tried to justify it in...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

Yeah - although in defence there, I don’t think Dempsey’s fitness issues have helped there. I wouldn’t mind seeing him in a starting role. Big fan of Pocock, but I feel like Dempsey provides a better balance.

    Rugby World Cup 2019

If we go that way UTG, why not just make it a post game review for foul play. As an example - the TMO (correctly) rules the Uruguay play offside in the lead up to their try which was disallowed. But how many Wallabies offsides did he let go? I have trouble believing there weren’t any. The...

NRC Rd 6: Canberra Vikings v Sydney, 12pm 5 October

His hair seems to be adding a few centimetres though. Quality player. I wasn’t overly a fan to start with, but Samu has impressed the hell out of me this year. Your backrow above looks bes to me Brumbieman and will be formidable.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

I want them to start the team against Georgia that they want to play v England. This is the problem to me - - Genia v White - Foley v Lealiifano v To'omua - To'omua v Kerevi v JOC (James O'Connor) - JOC (James O'Connor) v TK (and, by extension TK v Kerevi) - DHP v Beale We are 1 game out from the World Cup Quarters and we still...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

TKs lack of passing has always been an issue. Edit: not to say he isn’t a good player. Great hole runner, strong defender and finds the try line. But your comment about Kerevi ignoring overlaps and killing try scoring opportunities underlines the irony to me in the push for TK.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

By ESPN stats he has 9 passes. And whilst you are right, the Uruguay players are far better than park footballers, they aren’t the standard of Wales or the Fiji that we played against. TK has done well in the opportunity given to him and, if he replaces Kerevi in the starting line up then so be...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

I thought he was excellent in 2010. Then he got injured (nasty head knock I think) and seemed to lose all confidence in himself. Defence became a real issue. From memory the 2010 version of Chambers was verging on Wallabies selection but that may have just been my recollection as a Reds fan.

    Rugby World Cup 2019

I do think some adjustment on behalf of players is required Dan - but consistency is a big problem. Take Scott Barrett’s Bledisloe red. No doubt under the rules it’s a red. But the same or similar things happens in games regularly and often goes completely unpunished. Likewise Kerevi’s forearm...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I’m not convinced. At best it’s shuffling deck chairs. Fair enough - Kerevi hasn’t nailed his spot with the main concern being around his ball security and lack of distribution. TK was MOM and so he deserves credit for pushing his case. So if the change comes, then fair enough. I can see the...

I know that is technically right - but that is the sort of intervention I don’t think we need. I’ve no doubt a few things will go the Wallabies way over the course of the game too.

White just kicked the ball back into a scrum that we were under pressure on. Fuck me that was dumb.

NRC Rd 6: Canberra Vikings v Sydney, 12pm 5 October

Consolation try to Sydney on full time. Vikings get the win and, to be fair, never really looked like losing. Certainly at times their class was clear. I’m probably just a bit surprised they weren’t more dominant. Hopefully Swain’s hand isn’t too bad. Quality player who had some very good...

As I type that the Vikings backs with some good lead up play results in a penalty try (high tackle on the Vikings winger).

NRC Rd 6: Canberra Vikings v Sydney, 12pm 5 October

Maybe I’m missing some of the grunt work, but I’ve been disappointed with Valetini. Sydney are offering up plenty of chances but Vikings pack isn’t putting them to the sword at all. Similarly Simone, Powell & Banks have all had some really good moments but also some poor ones. I agree with...

NRC Rd 6: Canberra Vikings v Sydney, 12pm 5 October

Sydney score in the corner, but made it much harder than it should have been. Should have scored easily with numbers - but consecutive passes behind the shoulder of the receiver slowed the attack too much. Anyway, still scored and nailed the conversion from the touch line. 8 point lead to Canberra.

NRC Rd 6: Canberra Vikings v Sydney, 12pm 5 October

Tom Wright scores in the corner. He’s played well, as has Pete Samu. Everyone else has been a bit so so for mine. Darcy Swain off with a hand injury which he copped early and caused him obvious discomfort. Edit: Actually Mack Hansen has been pretty good too.
