RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

As you’re very fond of saying FP - no one should judge test football form on the first half of super rugby. Tupou was much better in the second half and has been fine for the Wallabies. Not as good as Ala'alatoa mind - who is our clear best prop, IMO.

    RWC 2019 Japan vs Scotland

Classy by Leitch too. First comments in Japanese and first response was to ackowledge the impact of the Typhoon (although no doubt it is very much front of mind).

Certainly fun watching a team with a plan and who incorporate a well executed kicking game in their kit bag of tactics.

Well - it has been done before. Ironically by Jones in the 2003 World Cup v New Zealand where Jones prepped them for something like 12 months to play a completely different game plan for that specific game. He did have some pretty good cattle to execute his plan though.

I’m going to a charity do to get drunk. Maybe I should have done a warm up tonight.

That game was so bad, Kearns has forgotten how shit we were last year. Harrison doesn’t even seem to remember how shit we were last week.

But it did work tonight. He consistently gave us quick ball over the gain line. It’s hardly his fault that the other players kept fucking it up in the next phase or two. And he’s demonstrated he can do it against the ABs & South Africa, so how can you say it’s not enough at this level? And I...

There is no evidence of it, but I am still hoping we have one good performance in us. Trying my best to convince myself that it is in there somewhere. Don’t really believe it, but all I have left is hope.

Are you kidding???? The only guy on the field that delivered consistent, quick, front foot ball. Kerevi has his faults - but we are watching different games if that is your take on the game.

Kerevi’s passing game may be lacking but the last 3 times he has got the ball he has drawn multiple defenders, made good post contact metres and delivered quick ball. Unfortunately on two of those occasions we’ve turned it over next phase.

Gee - Wallabies must be close to getting a scrum penalty

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

Not really unexpected first half given the Wallabies normal game plan and the weather. Would like to see To'omua use Kerevi a bit more instead of himself and look for quicker second phase ball. His kicking has been very good though - if only a Cheika would let him use his short kicks a bit in...
