Wallabies vs All Blacks 10th August @Optus Stadium Perth

I’m assuming injury as well. But if Pocock is fit, I don’t know that they’ll take all three of Hooper, Pocock & Samu

Wallabies vs All Blacks 10th August @Optus Stadium Perth

I am okay with Dempsey - providing he is fit and in some sort of form. I didn’t think his performances for the Tahs this year were anything to rave about. I also think Jones maybe needs more opportunity than he has been given before people put a line through him (but then I also think the same...

What happens when we get 3-4 injuries like we did this year? Plus what happens in the last 20 when you need some impact off the bench. I don’t really get your logic at all here. If one of the up and comers proves better than CFS he will drop out of the 23.

We’re lacking that bench option that can adequately cover both 10 & 12. I’m not sure Foley or Lealiifano covering 12 is going to be any better than To'omua or Beale were at covering 10. Hopefully JOC (James O'Connor) can make a good fist of it.

No room for JOC (James O'Connor)? Or do you think he’ll be tied up in 7s?

Yes & no. In no way am I suggesting Petaia is a cure for all ills. There are plenty of other issues which you rightly highlight. But throwing up his name as a selection chance and pinning all hopes to him are very different things. There is a chance for someone to grab the 14 or 23 jersey as the...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I think 13 is Petaia’s best spot - but not for the Wallabies at this time. Personally I am not proposing TK be moved at all - for Petaia or JOC (James O'Connor). But there is certainly an opportunity for a wing spot and to at least be considered for the squad. He played his entire first super rugby season...

Genuine question - when you say you don’t get the hype, how much have you watched him play? There is a reason he got picked to make his test debut in his first year out of school.

Hell yeah #justiceforfatties (Sorry - I know there is supposed to be no commentary - but when a cause is noble enough one needs to make a stand on principal)

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

The other thing is that I don’t think having JOC (James O'Connor) & To'omua on the bench makes sense unless JOC (James O'Connor) is considered a strong wing/fullback option. Going forward I’d prefer one or the other and Banks (or Hodge with Banks starting).

Regarding above - - 10 - I think selection for next test will be telling. I have Leali’ifano in front. But won’t be surprised if I’m wrong. Both need to be in the squad, but I am not convinced on both being in the 23 - personally not convinced by AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) this season, but I wouldn’t be surprised if...

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

Yeah, definitely. I think there were also two occasions where we got a turnover and he pumped it long straight away and put us up around half way. It’s a great way to release the pressure valve.

Beale had a couple of cracking clearances

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

For me it is about the selection of the back three, rather than an individual choice between Beale & Banks. Koroibete, Beale & Banks for mine is better than Koriobete, Banks & whomever else. I’d be happy with Banks in 15 if there was another strong, In-form wing option. From memory, Beale...

I get the logic - but I hope Cheika picks what he thinks is his best team for both Bledisloes.

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

Certainly it wasn't a win for the ages and we have a long way to go. Game plans are one thing, but if players continue to give up ball easily it makes it hard to consistently apply pressure. However, I think there are some clear positives that can be taken out of the first two games - - we...

I guess the problem is that none of Hooper, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) or Naisarani play particularly hard on the ball. I’m not having a crack at Hooper for that per se, but we still lack the balance we are looking for.
