Wallabies vs All Blacks 10th August @Optus Stadium Perth

Yeah - it would be erroneous to paint this in any way as a pre-Folau be Post-Folau thing. Firstly, it’s still only one game and, prior to yesterday, we still pretty ordinary. Secondly, there are a whole raft of changes that have nothing to do with Folau being absent. Not least of all that...

Yeah - Foley has to go. Lilo should be our starting 10 based on the last 2 weeks, but if he goes down every other option in the squad is inferior to Foley.

I don’t disagree with you on his capability Bobby Sands, and I think he will make it - but I think it is naive to assume Cheika won’t be carefully considering a veteran with over 100 games experience to a rookie coming off and extended injury lay off who hasn’t played a test yet. His biggest...

Fair point, but then, in the past, guys off the bench have sometimes failed to keep the momentum going, whereas To'omua fit straight in and Coleman clearly upped the tempo. Interesting that I thought that when To'omua came on we seemed to play off the 9 even more and he seemed a running target...

Interesting side note to yesterday’s performance - I wonder if it will negatively impact Petaia’s chances of getting a gig before the WC. Before the game, there definitely appeared an opportunity in our back 3. Now - not so much. Will be interesting how it plays out, especially if the Wallabies...

Or, for that matter, seeing off Sio and then facing Slipper. On top of that, we have Kepu to back those guys up. Depth at prop we just haven’t had for a long time.

GAGR Wallaby 3-2-1s v New Zealand (Perth)

Very tough this week. So many deserving. 3. Nic White 2. Tolu Latu 1. Marika Koroibete It feels criminal not to have any points to give to Hooper, Hodge, Arnold, Ala'alatoa or Rodda.

In other good news, the Boks won the RC so, effectively, they are now out of the running for the WC.

Yeah - I agree with all that. I thought his all round game shone through last night. Made some great runs and tackled hard and often. Lineout throwing a little scratchy I thought - but got the job done.

How good is it to wake up after the Wallabies put together a performance like that. A couple of notable performances for mine (probably a fair bit of Sunday morning hubris in this, but so be it) - - the whole front row was superb, but hats off to Tolu Latu. I had real reservations about his...

Owen Franks? I always assumed he had immunity. Edit : sorry, I do actually agree - but I couldn’t help myself.

I’ll join the chorus - White has been superb. Front row too.

Mixed bag for Samu - hopefully he can fix the errors in the second half.

Yeah - that’s pretty much my call on it too. Doesn’t seem an offence worthy of having to play half a game 1 man down. That said - it has been the rule for a while now and if you clean out with a shoulder charge (which happens pretty often and doesn’t get called to be fair) you run the risk.

Not a huge fan of Latu, but with that back row I see the logic of starting him. At least we’ll hopefully have a breakdown presence and, if anything, he is even stronger in the scrum then Fainga’a. Gee I hope he nails his throws though.

Any selection of Coleman is on the basis he can rediscover form he hasn’t shown for 2 years. I don’t get why we’d do that. Still - he’s in the squad I guess, so maybe Cheika thinks he can bring it out.

Are you sure? Phipps isn’t in any of the squad lists I’ve seen.
