    Waratahs 2018

Late reply but I completely agree with the sentiment (you can also add Godwin to this list). All these players are somewhat manufactured players who look good in the overly structured system that is used in Aussie junior representative rugby- however they're ability to actually ball play and...

    Waratahs 2018

Where are all the athletic quick wingers in New South Wales rugby? In a country of athletes, we have two very mediocre wingers in ourside.. I never understood why Harry Jones was not persisted with- at least he has pace and is a natural finisher. The NRL produces talented wingers on tap- look at...

    Brumbies 2018

I think it is time for the Brumbies to make some changes and stop persisting with underperforming players. Godwin has been given more than enough chances and yet Jackson-Hope looked more threatening as soon as he came- I think it's time to take a risk with him. If you blood JJH you probably have...

ACT Brumbies v NSW Waratahs, GIO Stadium 31 March

I think Taqele can only really start against Aus sides (and potentially some SA ones)- his lack of mobility/nous is too much of a liability and NZ sides have the quality to really isolate him. It's a calculate risk to start him against the Brumbies but would have him on the bench against the top...

Super Rugby Round 5, Waratahs vs Rebels - Sunday 18 March @ 4pm

I wouldn't pick Hegarty to start in my Shute Shield team's side.

    The Wallabies Thread

It's quite disappointing in a country of talented outside backs that the best outside centre in Australia is unable to beat a man on the outside with little ball- playing/ offloading skils. It's also disappointing that Kuridrani has not developed his game at all since he burst on the scene and...

    Super Rugby Round 3 - Sunwolves v Rebels @Japan

The change came when it became even more obvious that Hodge is not a natural ball player/ passer. Despite the fact that Hodge played 10 for Aus U/20s his strengths have always been his hole- running ability and huge boot.

    Super Round 2, 2018 - Rebels V Reds @ AAMI Park

I think Taylor Adams will eventually become the starting 10 for the Rebels for the immediate future (next 2-3 years). Wessels sees Hodge as a centre and I agree- his distribution skills are not strong enough for 10.

    Reds 2018

I think you will find that Hunt is pretty popular within the playing group (probably not the only one who indulges as well).

    Reds 2018

Indeed- the biggest change I have seen in rugby in the last 3 years in the upskilling of forwards.

    Waratahs 2018

To be fair he's played a few games at Parramatta at 13 where he regularly did what he does well and at the same time what he doesn't. I've watched him closely during the last few games for the Waratahs and his lack of rugby nous is outstanding. I firmly believe that he should be an impact option...

    Reds 2018

It's a real shame how Sam Greene was managed by the Reds a few years ago- the guy was ore talented than the majority of fly halves running around this country let alone in Queensland. A planned transition from Quade to Sam could have been successful.

What qualitites does Kerevi possess that makes him a 12 as opposed to a 13?

Was that a sneaky dig at Hooper? If so well done.

    The Wallabies Thread

Hooper has won the John Eales medal twice. As recently as last year. This is awarded based on voting from the actual Wallaby players. This would seemingly go against the view that he is not respected by players.

    Australia v Italy, Suncorp Stadium, 24th June 2017 @ 3:00pm

It's a shame that we didn't get Hunt in his early 20s when he was a lot more dynamic- he would have been a fantastic attacking and defensive 12. I'm still adamant that we could move Folau to 13, and we would gain a lot more than we would lose and then could have Beale at fullback with DHP and...

Australia v Scotland, 3:00pm 17 June Sydney Football Stadium

Hodge does have a bigger punt than Foley however he also takes an age to place the ball on boot and is susceptible to charge downs. Better for penalty touch finders? Yes. Better as an exit option and general play kicking? Not so much
