    Waratahs 2018

Even better- his turning circle is less than that of a road train.

    The Wallabies Thread

Watching him closely he seems to get beaten a bit too regularly on the inside trying to use just his arms.

    The Wallabies Thread

I actually thnk Folau at 13 would be the strongest and safest option (with DHP and Banks, and potentially Hodge at 15). He was very strong defensively when he played there for the Waratahs and is generally a good defender though he didn't shine offensively like normal- at least this would force...

    Waratahs 2018

Not many do - I don't think we need to be fixated on a like-for- like replacement for Taqele who would certainly be a downgrade, let's just focus on recruiting a solid attacking winger.

    Waratahs 2019

I'd take Hunt at 12, with Beale at 15.

    Reds 2018

Why would Folau move from a successful team to the basketcase at the Reds?

    Waratahs 2019

Scrubber you've been pretty quiet about Gibson deserving to be sacked the last couple of months- has he earnt another year?

    Brumbies 2019

I don't see him being any worse than the imcumbent you have now- if tackling is an issue adopt the old Waratahs swticheroo.

    Brumbies 2019

Why don't you actually give JJH a proper shot?

    Rebels 2019

To be fair he is a level above Hodge- he has far more experience playing there and also has the ability to take the ball to the line and ball play.

    Waratahs 2018

Agreed - would be a great pick up.

    Waratahs 2018

Are we writing off 27 year olds as too old? Especially with such limited time in XVs and potential to improve. (PS Foketi has never been a star in the Shute Shield)

    Waratahs 2018

Why would you do that? Rona is just starting to look comfortable and is playing in the 13 jersey.

    Waratahs 2018

I think Pama Fou has a lot of upside and could be picked up relatively cheaply- has more potential than Foketi and potentially Simone.

    Waratahs 2018

I'm not sure what was wrong with Harry Jones- big body with speed and a kicking game. I think his supposed defensive frailities were a bit of a myth- he'd be no worse than Taqele or Reece Robinson ever were.

    Waratahs 2018

He's about on- par/ potentially better than Newsome and Hegarty- he had the potential to lock down one wing position though.

The problem with the NRC and how to fix it

How hard would it be to create a new Western Sydney side?

The problem with the NRC and how to fix it

I'd just like to clarify that my argument is purely in terms of a Western Sydney or Country side only. Inb a perfect world you would have both sides, however in the real world with limited financial backing there is only one logical choice.

The problem with the NRC and how to fix it

Strong recent performance should not factor that heavily when prioritising franchies, there are other metrics that are far more important including attendances (and potential for attendances), commercial opportunities (re. sponsorships) sponsorships and broadcast viewers. It is clear that a...

The problem with the NRC and how to fix it

Why do NSW Country deserve to remain in the competition- surely a Western Sydney team and Sydney team both have more potential in terms of fans, sponsorship and potential rivalry?
