Australia v Ireland, Sat 9th June @ 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

You mean his number starts with 1 and finishes with 3- I don't think he provides much versatility (although potentially a crash ball 12)

    Round 16 - Reds vs Waratahs - Saturday 2 June - 7:45pm @ Suncorp

I think it might be worth going with the Waratah 10-12-13-15 combination for the first test against Ireland. For mine that combination has been dangerous and Rona especially understands his role within the system. Kerevi's impact this year has been mainly individual: busting tackles and throwing...

    Round 16 - Reds vs Waratahs - Saturday 2 June - 7:45pm @ Suncorp

Waratahs will win simply for the fact that they know how to score points- the Reds attack has been abysmal all year.

    Waratahs 2018

Not sure the value that Hegarty brings if you're not going to use him to replace either Beale or Foley. It's not like he has to kicking game to have him at fullback and move Folau to the wing- our attack drops off considerably even with his apparent ball playing ability. I think we'd be better...

    The Wallabies Thread

Folau has shown many times that he is more effective running between and beating defenders than just the last man and the touch line- how would this be amplified on the wing?

    The Wallabies Thread

Folau has an unmatched ability to beat defenders to set up his outside men as opposed to being a pure finisher- doesn't this make him suited to fullback (in attack at least)?

Ask the Waratahs if they would prefer Pocock over Hooper? Or the Chiefs with Cane? Or 'Canes with Savea? Etc. Pocock is best suited for teams that play in a more defensive (arguably negative) manner like Ireland focusing on choke tackles and slowing down the ruck- his style isn't necessarily...

If we do go for a more 'traditional' backrow there is absolutely no chance that Pocock will be starting ahead of Hooper- the Australian captain. Pocock is still getting lauded for his historical performances, Hooper's is in better form and a more rounded skillset for modern rules.

    Rebels 2018

Adams must be going back to NZ for opportunity rather than coin (I doubt ITM cups could compete with a base level Super contract)- another missed opportunity for Aus rugby with a talented ballplayer,

    Brumbies 2018

Agree regarding JJH- everytime he's gotten on the field he's been pretty decent- an upgrade on Godwin at the minimum. Why the relutance to give him time?

Which backline is working better as a unit? It might be due to Beale's ability to distribute (regardless of how limited you think it is)

How long as he been playing fly-half? If he's only been a back for the last 4-5 years it's probably already too late for him to become a top-class fly-half. You need to have played years of rugby to have learned the nuances required of being a ballplayer.

    Super Rugby Round 12, Rebels v Crusaders - Friday 4 May @ 7:45pm

Couple of commnents regarding the backline: - Jack D stands far too deep, generally receives the ball stationary and does not have the ability to get the most out of the back line. At this stage move him to fullback and let Maddocks develop in first grade for another year (Shute Shield ideally)...

I completely agree with fatprop above- he needs more to his arsenal than being effective between the 5m line and the sideline and currently that is all he has. Any 120kg back should be able to get over the advantage line on a set piece play without losing the ball..

It makes sense to use one of your better ball runners as much as possible including as blindside option- unfortunately he's incredibly ineffective in traffic.
