Wallabies v Argentina Sat 2 October CBus Stadium

Uelese was very good when he came on. He threw well and scrummaged very well except for one scrum where his LH folded in I think. He also had plenty to do when he scored that try off a late lineout. Every time he has played test rugby he looks very much at home. The same cannot be said for the...

Wallabies v Argentina Sat 2 October CBus Stadium

He hasn’t really been seagulling, more finding gaps mid field and making more than decent metres. My guess he is still earmarked for the bench but gets a shot at starting this week so that the coaches can get a look at McMahon.

    Wallabies 2021

Rennie is a happy chap right now with the inclusion of these top line OS players and with the promise of more European based guns to come. Its going to be quite a squad.

    Wallabies 2021

I’d suggest that they take Uelese as the 4th hooker and leave Lonergan to also put on a bit of weight………a lot of weight.

Wallabies v Argentina Sat 2 October CBus Stadium

It looks as though they plan to have Arnold and Skelton in the squad for the Northern tour so no need to blood a new lock just yet. That looks pretty close Reg. Not sure if McMahon gets a shirt ahead of Wilson and if Rennie and co are willing to not have Samu on the bench? We need another win...

    Wallabies 2021

The SMH reporting that Rennie is hopeful that Kerevi and Coopers clubs will allow them to tour. If not then Paisami is a must. I think it is seen as positive by the Japanese clubs if their players are playing test rugby, unlike their European counterparts.

On the contrary he has excellent vision seeing where he needs to kick the pill to find grass and where he might be able to expose a weakness in the line. We will have to agree to disagree. Wherever he plays in the back line he brings experience and a solid game that his team mates can rely on.

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Pumas @ Townsville 25/09

Cooper is as eligible as anyone playing in Oz. If his club is willing to release him to play test rugby when required there is no reason why he should not become a permanent squad member for the foreseeable future.

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Pumas @ Townsville 25/09

JOC (James O'Connor) for Cooper…..why? JOC (James O'Connor) has not had one game as a 10 as good as either of Quades recent efforts against the Boks. Why would they make that change? Agree with the rest but maybe Swain and Philip are the best locking combo?

    Wallabies 2021

Hodge was good in the areas where Banks is not strong. He has good vision and can break the line, coming in at opportune times. He also has a very accurate boot. Petaia is my horse in that race.

    Wallabies 2021

I dont know. I have been watching him a bit lately and he is not as solid as Quade or JOC (James O'Connor). I think Racing are trying to replace him?

    Wallabies 2021

I’d guess Arnold and Latu, maybe Skelton? I’d like to see Philip, Swain and Rodda get plenty of time in Europe to develop further. Hope Uelese is recalled. Not that excited about FF (Folau Fainga'a) and Kaitu’u. On an upward trajectory though. Great to see. Rennie really putting it together well.

I think that we can assume that this Rennie fella knows what he is doing. My questioning it was purely because I don’t understand the motivation.

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Pumas @ Townsville 25/09

Yes. I think Fraser McReight has shown himself to be capable. Actually I hope not to be proven wrong as that would mean the depth is not there. I am a fan of both Cooper and McMahon and hope that McMahon can make a similar impact.

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Pumas @ Townsville 25/09

Cooper is eligible without restriction as he has reached the threshold of tests played for Australia. McMahon and Kerevi are not. My point was that we are pretty flush with back row options but with JOC (James O'Connor) injured 10 was a bit of a problem. So naturally Rennie would look OS for someone to cover...

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Pumas @ Townsville 25/09

Why would McMahon be a more likely selection than Cooper? We are loaded with back row talent and McMahon is a little small to fill a starting position at 6 or 8. If Hooper needs a break then you have McReight waiting in the wings. Although I must admit I wouldn’t mind seeing what McMahon could...

I like it. No giveaway jerseys. Leota is a beast and fits right in with what we have been doing. They are going to try and steam roll that Argie pack.
