    Wallabies 2021

I’d guess that the Brumbies are more systematically coached than the Reds and respond a little better to the national systems. Hooker still an odd one that McInerney even gets a mention. He would have to around 6-8th choice in Oz at best. He has hardly played this year. Rennie is looking for...

    Wallabies v Japan, Oita - 23 October, 3:45pm AEDT

FF (Folau Fainga'a) has been pretty good the last two tests. I cannot see McInerney being any better than Kaitu’u or Lonergan. I guess he is worth a look?

It will be good for Paisami to have an opportunity outside Cooper. He is also an option at 13 down the track when Kerevi returns.

    Wallabies 2021

You have Tupou and AAA at tight head with Robertson and possibly Slipper as back ups. Its unlikely that they will need another one unless there are two injuries within the first couple of games. If someone is injured in Japan you would have to assume an Aust. based player ships out straight to...

    Wallabies v Japan, Oita - 23 October, 3:45pm AEDT

Have to assume that Daugunu is ready to play? A run against Japan would be good with Petaia on the bench to cover the back 3.

Thats right, so another reason to change the eligibility laws for those offshore. If we can find a suitable method to allow players to go overseas and remain eligible it opens up contracts for newcomers in Super Rugby. We just do not have the base here in Australia to expand beyond those 5...

    Wallabies 2021

Its a good squad without doubt. Of course there are a few question marks but its very strong up front and has a well rounded set of backs. Hopefully the new/old boys settle in quickly.

    Wallabies 2021

I dunno. Its test rugby. I agree his throwing appears to be good but like Lonergan he does not look up to the physicality just yet. No Uelese or Mafi? Its a bit of an odd squad. I would have taken McReight over McMahon as well and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) can feel hard done by. Rennie and Marinos reported as saying...

Yes he was good in the last test and Uelese was fine in his two runs off the bench. McInnerney………really?

If Kerevi is not 100% when they get on the plane to Japan it is a big risk to leave Paisami behind. Maybe we see a 10 Quade 12 JOC (James O'Connor) against Japan?

    Wallabies 2021

They all want to go on the tour. If not selected they will need to apply themselves and go a level up for next year. A good thing no doubt but still maybe a little bitter sweet if replaced by an OS non-Giteau law qualified player.

    Wallabies 2021

Let’s be clear, anybody who is left behind to get a full pre-season will essentially feel that they have been dropped. One minute you are in the squad and then you are not. Not required, surplus to requirements, not selected in the top 36 etc etc etc.

    Wallabies 2021

Half of the names being raised would not make a full strength squad of players chosen world wide including those playing in Australia. People are getting a bit carried away. I think Rennie mentioned 4 OS players to compliment his squad and he has already mentioned them by name.

Why would they be looking at Phipps? My vote would be to take White, Tate and Lonergan and leave Gordon out.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby

KB (Kurtley Beale) put in a good shift for Racing a couple of days ago setting up two tries and saving one at the death for the win. Hot and cold under the high ball but no worse than Hodge.

Wallabies v Argentina Sat 2 October CBus Stadium

Would have been good to see JOC (James O'Connor) come into 12 and play alongside Quade. This is a more likely scenario down the road.

When are they going to announce the squad for the northern tour?

They should with an eye on the future. Lonergan has similar skills to White and will be a good fit. I dont think Gordon brings much.
