No. He would be desperate to play. I reckon we will see him back in Oz soon.

Maddocks is a pretty good shout. Replace two lost cannons with a similar cannon and he covers wing.

I’d say bring Beale and Duncan Paia'Aua in. The latter has recent experience with the squad and Beale just has a bucketload of test experience and is in excellent form. Losing Cooper and Kerevi is a blow. We need to choose replacements that are familiar with the setup and/or bring something of...

    Wallabies 2021

Perese on the bench to come in at 13 or on the wing late in the game. I guess it depends on if Cooper is available or not.

    Wallabies 2021

Could be worse. Hopefully Cooper gets the nod. He can also play at 15 if need be. With Beale we have adequate cover. McMahon was taken presumably in place of McReight. Bad choosing Maddog over him as a backup 7 whichever way you look at it.

I agree. The recent Wallaby selection policy makes room for two OS players that do not qualify through tests played and there is talk of loosening the policy moving forward. This makes all Australian players, wherever they are, fair game. Kerevi will now be the first picked under this criteria...

We dominated the Japanese pack but lacked the muscle in mid field we have been enjoying. Maybe Perese comes in at 13?

    Wallabies 2021

Beale has looked good recently. He will be a positive addition To the squad. He can also cover 12 from the bench. Kerevi is a massive loss. What was the whole point of having him involved if it was not going to be for an ongoing basis? With the existing Giteau Law players like QC (Quade Cooper) and KB (Kurtley Beale) are...

McMahon never needed to be included in the squad. Could be that bringing in two of their stars was too much for Suntory? I dont see this anywhere in the press?
  10. Joe Blow

    Wallabies 2021

Kurtley Beale is eligible as he meets the criteria for tests played under the existing regs.

Hope Hodge is good. Its pectoral so could just be a strain. Better than shoulder.

He has been playing very well, as always particularly in attack but like both Cooper and JOC (James O'Connor) he has matured and is much more physically capable in contact. His experience tends to put him in the right place at the right time on both sides of the ball these days.

    Wallabies v Japan, Oita - 23 October, 3:45pm AEDT

One good aspect of our play was the taking of high balls, particularly by Petaia but also Kellaway, Cooper and Wright. Hopefully Hodge is OK. He is our first choice 15 and 3rd choice 10. Beale may be called in to the squad if not?

    Wallabies v Japan, Oita - 23 October, 3:45pm AEDT

The ball is very much alive. If we regather and touch down we score. I think it should have been our throw.

    Wallabies v Japan, Oita - 23 October, 3:45pm AEDT

Or maybe the JOC (James O'Connor) at 15 idea needs to be revisited?

    Wallabies v Japan, Oita - 23 October, 3:45pm AEDT

Paisami was unable to impose himself in attack as Kerevi does. Perese might be a better like for like replacement? Petaia earned himself a spot back on the wing I reckon. We might see KB (Kurtley Beale) back in the frame? There is not a recognised starting 15 in the squad. Japan looked very tidy in spots. Their...

That bodes well for the future. Yes, Lonergan is 22, Uelese 24 and a couple of the others not much older. Kaitu’u looks a bit loose in his game, like BPA IMHO. It will be interesting to see how Latu goes. He has the skills that Rennie is looking for along with a very solid set piece.

    Wallabies v Japan, Oita - 23 October, 3:45pm AEDT

He was dismissed quickly and quietly after a good performance in the last Bled game. Might have been something happen in camp? He was throwing well along with his scrummaging. He was starting to look fit as FF (Folau Fainga'a) is now. At 24 he is still very young and has time. He might not be viewed as an 80...

He looks pretty big for his height already. Where is that extra 10 kegs going to go? He is young, as are Kaitu’u and Uelese.

    Wallabies 2021

I thought BPA and Uelese were good against the ABs. Throw FF (Folau Fainga'a) and Latu in and you are apples with Kaitu’u as a back up. We have a bunch of young blokes(as far as hookers go). One or more will come through. JU is only 24 and also has time to develop further but is already 116kgs.
