    Waratahs 2020

Steve Hansen was a centre and Graham Henry a halfback, they seemed to cope with coaching forwards.

RWC Week 2 - thread for matches without a match thread*

Agree, seemed very odd, especially with 2 games on the Thursday and 3 today. The next two Friday's have one game each.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

Maybe Tk at 13 and JOC (James O'Connor) on the wing would have been better. I know that JOC (James O'Connor) probably doesn't have the speed that he used to but neither does AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and O'Connor offers all the defensive capabilities needed. I think for all Nic White's experience with NH rugby we have to accept that he was pretty...

RWC Pool B: All Blacks vs Springbokke, Sat 21st September, 18h45 , International Stadium Yokohama

I thought that the refs were meant to be going hard on high tackles this RWC but gee the Boks were getting away with lots of them. Their defensive line speed was impressive but thought that the ref could have slammed them on high shots.

Sampson would know a lot of these players from Qld Premier Rugby when he coached Easts - certainly Ready played for him and he would have seen Jake Strachan play against Easts and probably more.

    Rugby World Cup 2019

Yes, Stephen Jones has been sent over to replace him as attack coach, Howley is back in the UK facing an inquiry of some sort. Strange, he has been with Gatland for a very long time, and to now be betting on games? Gambling problem maybe.

    Brumbies 2020

Reg, from what I read White was contracted to Exeter for their 2020 season. Assuming he isn't released early by Exeter (as To'omua was by Leicester) then his final round robin game will be on the 6th of June 2020 and if Exeter make it to the final (they made it to the final this season) that is...

    Reds 2020

The agent didn't force Kerevi to sign though did he? He had to make that decision himself, whatever the reasons, but to simply blame the agent and portray SK as having to do something that he would rather not do is incorrect IMO. He chose the money, which is understandable but shouldn't be...

NRC Rnd 1: Melbourne Rising v Canberra Vikings

Don't you have Andrew Kellaway signed now as well or is he in NZ? I like to see the best available players playing so am glad that the Vikings used their Super Rugby players - looked at the lineup and thought that would be hard to beat.

    Reds 2020

Interesting that Stewart has signed for 3, I wondered if he would look elsewhere after this year. He barely appeared in the later part of the season and I think was meant to be in Premier Grade for Bond and then didn't show there or managed one game maybe. Was he injured?

    QLD Teams 2019

I believe it has been held back because of the RWC squad announcement, possibly if someone was named in an NRC squad who was thought to be going to Tokyo it would give away that they had been left out of the RWC. Anyway, Saturday apparently is when NRC squads announced. Reds contracted...

You are correct - $15 booked online, $19.50 at the gate for the GF, and for the Colts and lower grades the previous day you have the privilege of paying $15 at the gate and $10 online.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Do you mean the Brumbies imports provide the backs or ACT developed players provide the backs? ACT has provided some gems over the years (Gregan, Larkham) but the Brumbies generally are like UQ in Brisbane and SU in Sydney, providing good facilities and a good program for players other clubs...

Uni were hard to watch as an Easts supporter - they were just way too good at turning opportunities into success. Kudos to them, not the result I wanted but they were very good. Brothers v GPS was a competitive game until late in it when Brothers took control. Some very good performances all...

Is the Ballymore redevelopment actually going ahead now? I hadn't realised it was a definite. Does Wests have that much seating? I know it's a nice building but I didn't get the impression that the seating was that much bigger than anywhere else and parking around there is difficult. Maybe...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Fair point, TK is strong in defence, not disputing that, but what you are saying is that the Kerevi/TK combination is not working because Kerevi is hogging the ball. So either the communication is not happening or Kerevi is ignoring him, or it is the game plan. I expect the 13 to be strong in...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Petaia was very good in his Super Rugby appearances, the concern is how he will go coming back from injury. My guess is that they will do a lot of testing on him to see how he copes - the talent and game awareness won't go away but hopefully he can recover the speed and power. Given the other outside...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

What has Korobibete done to be a lock for a starting wing spot? Is it just the lack of other options? He chases kicks and rushes up in defence but then gets beaten and hasn't offered a great threat in attack. I Tevitia Kuridrani started the Super season poorly but finished well, now he is...
