Wasn't Simon Cron with the Waratahs and supposedly lined up to be the next Tahs head coach at one stage? Surely that counts for experience at this level? Larkham should never have been parachuted in at Super Rugby level, too much jobs for the boys. Hewat looked good when he was at the Brumbies.

You have signed Moses Sorovi from the Reds - he is a good, quick halfback. I would have liked to keep him in QLD but glad that he has a spot in Melbourne.

Agree with your point but still need to make sure that the people they are looking at are the right fit for the right reasons. I don't think we need mercenaries who get offered silly money because the NRL doesn't rate them anymore, or have a history of off field issues - find the right players...

I thought Sorovi was Torres Strait Islander - is he part Fijian as well? Good player, very good recruit for Rebels I would say.

Chiefs have been great to watch, totally took the Brumbies apart last week. If the Reds keep their kicking game going DMac will have a field day.

You're right, forgot about them as well. Other teams have had some good talent available to them as well - Sorovi and Gordon's for Wests, Kuridrani for GPS are a few I can think of. The young guys will benefit from the season even if it's not successful.

Ben Mowen retired, the key frontrowers picked up Super Rugby contracts, Seru Uru has been a big part of the Reds squad this season, so with that you are losing a lot of grunt and last year their scrum and lineout worked really well.

Agreed, some of the other losses have been fairly close but that one v Brothers really blew out. That Brothers try straight after Easts had taken the lead at 12-10 I think when one of the backs ran through half the Easts side seemingly untouched to score was like junior rugby. Can't see Easts...

Stiles was a very good forwards coach I thought when he was with Brisbane City and Reds. Getting the right person who he can work with would be key - didn't feel he had too much say in that with the Reds.
