Super Rugby: Round 1. Rebels vs Brumbies - 23 Feb AAMI

How does he keep getting selected and contracted? Big unit for sure, and I was told once that he was a very good scrummager but I just don't see what he brings. Not dominant with ball in hand, lineouts are awful...

    SF2: England v South Africa 22/10/23 @ 0800 NZDT

Smith has been under an injury cloud all week, training separately - they were hoping he would come through but looks like he didn't.

    Western Force 2024

I thought he stood out this year for the Force - wasn't familiar with him previously but certainly noticed him this year. Interesting that he plays 8 as well as lock.

    Wallabies 2023

Can't see Jones in the GM role - he would turn over too many people - very much my way or nothing.

Bond and their supporters should be proud of their record this season, they were tough opposition. Hopefully they can build on that and use it to develop more players for future seasons and grow the game on the Coast and probably tap into Northern NSW also.

Well done Brothers. Certainly showing the benefit of having the Super Rugby players back the last few matches. How many Super Rugby players are likely to line up for Brothers and Wests next week?

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Difficult for Easts having to go again vs a stacked Brothers team. Great to see the likes of O'Connor playing QPR but it certainly favours the teams that can bring these players back. As an aside, how many times in recent years have their been QPR finals without UQ being part of it? They have...

Do you mean that Wests won't be the Rebels players home anymore or are they just expanding to GPS as well?

Not Nathan Grey please. Surprised he was interviewed, seems to be well connected but as a Head Coach?

    Women's Rugby

Good to hear that the crowd was so good, I had worried that it would be poor given the location. Black Ferns are at a different level to Wallaroos, and we saw this last year in the WC. Aus coaches need to use this as a starting point to look at where the improvements need to be (everywhere it...

I think Lynagh has potential and should be persisted with, keep Campbell too, as usually he is reliable - the rest of your statement I agree with.

    Rebels 2023

Can anyone explain why the Rebels crowds are so small? I get that it is Melbourne but the team are playing exciting rugby, and having the Brumbies as opposition and an afternoon game I would have thought that it would have drawn a decent crowd but on tv it looked like they had around 1000 all...

I thought Wright was good last night, and Toole is exciting. But how good was Frost?

    Week 8 - Waratahs vs Force - Saturday 15 April @ 7:35pm

Maybe Cron thinks he is too valuable at 12. I thought Strachan did well when he came on against the Hurricanes, when I think Hamish went off with an injury.

    Super Rugby 2023 Rd 1 - Reds v Hurricanes

Agree with your comments Reg, although I thought McReight was good also. Henry I only really noticed when he would kick the ball away, and that tactic wasn't working too well - Canes backs love the open spaces.

    Wallabies 2023

Shame about Laurie Fisher, always liked him. Larkham has not shown any prowess as a 'backs coach' unless his Irish experience is different to what he showed in Australia, just because he was a good player himself doesn't mean he is going to be a good backs coach - hopefully he can prove me...

Wallabies v Wales, Principality Stadium, Sun 27th November, 2.15am AEST

I think both Petaia and Mark N (Nawaqanitawase) performed really well - yes there were defensive lapses by both but that likely comes from a lack of combination with their inside men and maybe communication. Petaia hasn't been playing a lot of wing so that contributes too but really pleased to see him remain...

    Women's RWC

England have the best women's setup - been pro for the entire squad and coaches since 2019. NZ have just gone pro this year and from Wayne Smith's comments it sounds like some of the Black Ferns still have jobs. Smith was only appointed this year after a scathing review of the coaching culture...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2022

Is there a policy of neutral grounds for semi finals (Wests playing UQ at GPS, and GPS playing Brothers at Wests) or is it just availability of fields with Ballymore out?
