    Brumbies 2020

I thought CLL has been in pretty good form this year too, and I hadn't thought that for a while. Good to see and a great story. Where is he off to?

    Reds 2019

Agree Reg, I think Stewart should be looking elsewhere given how he has been treated. He certainly seems to be on the outer at the Reds. When is he contracted until?

    Reds 2020

I'm not a good enough judge of potential players to comment on club players who might have the goods but I have been pleased to see how well Jock Campbell has stepped up when given the chance and seeing how Banks and Muirhead have gone at the Brumbies it is a positive indication of Prem grade...

    Reds 2020

Lots of good players who have not been great trainers - George Smith was a recent example by all accounts. This is the concern with players who perform well in the gym and the training field but can't make a decision on the field. I know nothing about Duncan apart from watching his abilities...

    Aussie Player Exodus

Lots of noise in this Kerevi thing. He claims in interviews that he wants to be close to his brothers who are playing in Japan and teach his younger brother how to be a man and shave etc - the guy is playing pro rugby in Japan so I think maybe he has learnt the skill of shaving by now. Bottom...

    Brumbies (3rd) v Sharks (6th) - Super Rugby 2019 QF 4

How have the Sharks qualified? Based on your summary they sound rubbish, so what have they been doing well? I expect the Brumbies to win this.

But that's not Thornball. He has gone for the smash it up power runner at 12. DP provided the skilful 12 model and was left out. I think the Lucas model would last a couple of games and then be replaced with a big 12. I thought that Stewart with his strong defence and kicking game could be a...

Kagifa Samoa v Western Force - Ballymore, Brisbane - 1:40 PM (EST), Saturday, 15 June 2019

I watched the 2nd half on SBS, decent game, enjoyed it, hope it thrives. Maybe think about taking some of those games to areas that are starved of rugby and develop a support base there.

    Reds 2019

Yes the Rebels are not in a good state but that comes from having to import nearly everyone and that doesn't provide stability although hopefully long term having a pathway there for local talent means locals don't disappear to other teams as has been the case. Qld on the other hand have a...

    Australian Rugby / RA

What pathways did Hewat come through? He played in Aus then ended up in Japan and started coaching there. Brumbies hired him based on his Japan experience. McKellar was another who coached in Japan, and according to Wikipedia learnt the art of coaching originally in Ireland before coming to...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

A good story about using rugby in the USA in problem areas to provide positive outlets for youth. While sport in general can offer good alternatives for young people it's interesting how this article talks about how the aggression in rugby union is what was attractive to these young guys. As...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2019

Good to see that nothing is set in stone between the teams - I expected GPS to more comfortably beat Easts and was really pleased at how close it was. Same with Brothers over Souths and Wests vs Sunnybank.

    Reds 2020

Thorn doesn't seem to be much of a Tuttle fan though Reg - from recollection wasn't he dropped before he injured himself? I liked him and he can kick goals too so pretty handy but I got the impression he was on the outer.

Waratahs v Brumbies, 7.45pm, Sat 8th June, BankWest (Parra) Stadium

Coached in Japan for a while I believe before coming to the Brumbies.

    RD 17: Crusaders v Rebels

Crusaders were sublime and I agree no-one would have beaten them last night BUT with evenly shared possession and territory the Rebels should not have lost by 66 points with the players that they had. It wasn't like they weren't getting the ball, just nothing was done with it.

Waratahs v Brumbies, 7.45pm, Sat 8th June, BankWest (Parra) Stadium

The ref deemed that a Tahs hand knocked it out of Banks hand so knocked back. That wasn't the losing of the game for the Tahs, letting in all those tries in the 1st half was - I am not a Brumbies fan but that 1st half was impressive.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2019

Strachan (ex Sunnybank) at 10 has been good for them, today they had Caleb Timu playing. It will be interesting if they get any of their Reds guys turning out for them soon - Kerevi is probably unlikely but CFS has in the past I think and I think Lukhan SL is listed as Souths also. Might make...

Brothers are in a pretty strong position, I thought Souths might have taken that today when I saw the stream around the 60 minute mark but Brothers must have finished really strongly.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2019

Surprise result with the Sunnybank win over Wests although I think that SB have been getting close. Easts losing in the 81st minute is disappointing - so close to an upset win. UQ and Bond look like they will benefit greatly if their Reds players turn out for them after next week - both have...
