Yep Shaker that is fair enough, I haven't seen the replay, but must show something as he has been cited so Cyclo just lost his bet;). That photo doesn't show much but complete video might. I shall have to peek!

I didn't doubt it was worthy of citing. I just expected World Rugby to shit the bed at some point and overlook a clanger.

How do SA get awazy with naming only two front rowers on the bench? I thought it was mandatory that all three front row spots had to be covered on the bench.

Re Matu'u. He has a history of head clashes when he tackles. How can he be judged to have a clean record, or whatever the wording was, that warrants a 50% reduction in the sanction?

It is.
Someone there must be covering the relevant spot. Or, it's a typo.

Laws of rugby say you need to name 6 trained front rowers in the 23 man squad, and have to be able to replace each front rower in the first instance as needed.

If Brits gets injured or carded and then the hooker goes down, things get interesting

But that's the same as any other game, the only difference is that 4 of them will be on the field at the start.

Yeah, they are fine, and in accordance with the laws.

Unless Brits can't replace Mbonambi

I see what you're saying. It's only a slightly higher risk than the normal situation though, there are still 2 of each front row position in the 23, just that 4 of them are playing at the same time to begin with.

Tonga vs Arg ffs if not for Argies 2 early jammy intercepts this one would be 14-all

*edit final score 28-14. Argies were kind of a bit nonsense.

Next up. Japan vs Ireland. Hopefully run and gun Japan can get in there and disrupt Irelands ultra-tedious patterns

After that: SA vs Namibia.
