Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

He's also got the third Welsh game next weekend to play with. I reckon we will see a Queensland heavy team this week for the test, and then many of them will be back at Reds training next week for the Welsh tour game More change than a lot here will be comfortable with

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Ratings last night for the 1st Wales test match - 520k average, 1.3m reach. The 1st test against England a couple of years ago was around 420k, so up on that

    Queensland Reds 2025

I think the players are being asked to nominate their first or "debut" Australian clubs

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

I'm completely out on Tom Wright until he can score a match winning try from absolutely nothing to pull us away from a tricky two point margin with 10 minutes to play in his first test match for a year

    English chocolate at that

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

It's RugbyPass website. Well put together. Hopefully WR (World Rugby) have finally got there act together with this stuff

Two phases before the Lolesio cross kick. It was on, until it wasn't.

Couple of thoughts from watching the replay. This is why Liam Wright's tackle stats were low. He was hanging back for turnovers. McReight has lineout backline defense responsibilities.

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

Liam Wright came off holding his shoulder. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of that
  10. Strewthcobber

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

For McReight, the one late was a neck roll foul play penalty. Was there any others?

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

Liam Wright with 1 tackle complete seems very odd. The tackles stat is often an indicator of the opposition tactics I reckon. Wales trying to tire out Valetini and reduce McReight's breakdown work is the obvious way to try and take on the Wallabies.

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

Played first half against UQ, along with Jock C. Ryan Smith got the full game to work on his too many minutes for Super Rugby 26-0 to UQ at half time and 26 all by FT

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

I'd be expecting quite a few more changes than that from Schmidt. He will want to be seeing what his squad offers. I'm guessing second row, backrow and halves especially will be rotated

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

I seriously can't believe what I have just read. People think Rob Valetini, of all of our players, is the one that needs to be called out for his approach to contact?

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

My understanding is the main lineout callers at each of the teams this year were (long termers) Wright, Holloway and Frost (and Swain), with Canham and Ekuasi sharing at the Rebels, and Jeremy Williams stepping up at the Force when Rodda was out. So a few options there, but it can always fall...

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

Implied odds mean that the bookies think Wales have around a 20% chance of winning, which feels about right. They are not a good team at the moment, and they haven't won in Australia, even with a better team than this one, for 50+ years

    Wallabies 2024

Some slightly strange quotes in the Roar's piece on Schmidt's presser. If I'm Ryan Smith looking for a test cap, I'm not that thrilled with the reasoning to be honest...

Player management, and resting players for the first test of the season. That's going to drive some posters here up the wall
