I posted it to the Reds thread - they put out a video celebrating Lynagh's re-signing. 1 minute of the least exciting highlights I've ever seen. Is that because there are no good highlights from his season, or the media team don't know what rugby highlights look like? (hint - it's not knocking...

    Queensland Reds 2024

A superb season for Turbo in maroon Reds video post celebrating Lynagh re-signing. Good to see the initiative, but man those are some underwhelming highlights.

Squad size doesn't change though right? So around 20% of 2024 positions aren't going to exist in 2025.

    Wallabies 2024

England have pretty similar odds for a win in NZ too right? Wales have won once in Australia, in 1969, and are currently in as big a mess as we are. I don't think implied odds of 90% chance of an Australian win are that out of line

    England v Japan - 3.50pm AEST 22nd Jun

    No issues for me

    Aussie Player Exodus

Scotland spent $145m AUD last year. They have a much bigger budget than we do. We will likely lose more players like these two off for money in the Scottish system (or like Hansen in the Irish one) in years to come

    Wallabies 2024

Kellaway played 15 for just about all of the 2016 season at the Tahs, and Tom Wright played most of his first season at inside centre

McKellar gone at Leicester https://www.leicestertigers.com/news/240622 Could you imagine a worse career for your family?

    England v Japan - 3.50pm AEST 22nd Jun

Charlie Ewel's second red card in consecutive years, this one for a dangerous lower limb clearout that could have ended the career of Michael Leitch
  10. Strewthcobber

    England v Japan - 3.50pm AEST 22nd Jun

Smith putting on a bit of a clinic now. 4 tries to none in the first half without really breaking too much of a sweat
  11. Strewthcobber

    England v Japan - 3.50pm AEST 22nd Jun

It's just hands in the ruck. The half is offside in front of the last foot while they do it too. I hate that refs allow it

    England v Japan - 3.50pm AEST 22nd Jun

And now Smith cuts them to pieces up the middle of a planned long lineout move. Japan have been going at 100km/h but I reckon they might get a bit of a touch up here
  13. Strewthcobber

    England v Japan - 3.50pm AEST 22nd Jun

Japan throwing it around early with some success but only 3 points. England's scrum wins the penalty and then big bodies one off bash over for the first try

    Western Force 2025

We don't know if that's what happened, do we? He may have been offered a top-up to play at the Force as well, he said no to that, and then RA said what about a top-up and a move to Sydney?
  16. Strewthcobber

    Australian Rugby / RA

There is a JV set up between RA and the Lions organisation. They share all commercial and government revenue, ticket revenue and worlwide broadcast revenue This is said to be at least $100 million from the tour.
  17. Strewthcobber

    Australian Rugby / RA

NZRU declared $200m in total liabilities in 2022. This doesn't mean anything unless you also read the other side of the balance sheet.
  18. Strewthcobber

    Australian Rugby / RA

RA declared $89 million of liabilities in the annual report last year. Meaningless unless you understand how that's made up and include assets balancing out etc

    Wallabies 2024

Its a 38 player squad. Bigger than normal. They've extended the size of it to get a bit of experience into the squad
