Reds vs Bulls Rnd 5 2012.

Looking at that lineup I hope the Reds keep the game in the forwards..as it is a pretty untested and inexperienced backline.

    Rebels v Force - Round 5 - Super Rugby 2012

To be honest I wasn't sure which team I wanted to win last night? Good on the Rebels for getting over the line with so many top line players out. I thought Gerard was immense last night...slotted the winning goal, and made some very good plays during the game. His experience and calm was...

Can't take any credit for the Tipping Comp T12, it was all Jets!

    Player name pronunciation

What about pronouncing Tupou as "Two- poo" rather than "Two -poe"?

    Western Force 2012

That win should really fire up the Force. Harvey may well be the short term answer at 10. Slow of foot but looks an intelligent and quick thinker. The likes of Nalaga and Cummins may benefit from a good distributor.

    Waratahs 2012

As a neutral I would want Barnes at 10. Hangers is a solid player but his option taking is far too conservative when things are tight, or when the game needs to be taken by the scruff of the neck.

    Waratahs V Force - Superugby Rd 4

Yeah, he looked good at first receiver late in the game. Stick him at 10 and put Mafi at the back, he is the one Force back that has looked to have a bit of zing in the games I've watched this year.

    Waratahs V Force - Superugby Rd 4

Well...didn't see that result coming, that's for sure.Well done to the Force for playing to their limited strengths and hanging in there. I watched the whole game waiting for the inevitable Tah breakaway and it just didn't happen. Seemed like Barnes was the only one trying to play attacking...

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

I reckon we can almost safely say that Gill won't be there this year, he will have already established himself as a regular game day Super player. Still, there do look to be a few decent players. Anyone care to hazard a guess at a likely 22?

Reds vs Sharks Rnd 4 2012

I like the look of the forward pack... experience, size and physicality. Big opportunity for Lucas and Davies to present some credentials as well.

Rate him too. The fact that he is on the SA tour with the Reds at the moment suggests that Link and crew might as well.

    Chiefs v Brumbies Super Rugby R4 2012

Well done Brumbies! Disappointing to lose, obviously, but after having been written off by all and sundry all week, it was good to see them guttsing it out like they did. Plenty to like about this young team and Mowen does strike me as a good leader. Agree with others who have mentioned Mogg...

Reds vs Sharks Rnd 4 2012

Point taken TOCC. I guess my point is they're more finishers than distributors, and that is generally what you want your outside man to be. Digby's extra contribution due to his strength are a bonus.

Reds vs Sharks Rnd 4 2012

Can't say I know Ruggo, to be honest. Rather than being natural distributors or link men, I personally see Davies and Morahan as out and out finishers, like Shipperley and Ioane.

Agreed, have been impressed with him everytime I've seen him play. From Easts I would say keep an eye out for Toby White and Blake Enever.

Can't see why Tomane wouldn't be a good crashballer, given his size and league experience?

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Stolberg and Lucas played most of the year in Brissy Prems last year and I think Beauchamp might have as well. Is the young Tah's winger eligible for this team?

When will we see Will Tupou, anyone know?

Reds vs Sharks Rnd 4 2012

Quite right, he was the OZ Schools fullback in 2006, and a pretty good one at that. My recollection is that he was safe under the highball and a courageous defender, as well as being the speed merchant that we are all familiar with. Don't know whether he has a good boot or not though, as I think...
