Waratahs 2025

Brumby Runner

Still hopeful for (and frankly expecting something similar to):

1. Bell / Kailea / HTS
2. Porecki / Heaven / Dobbins
3. Tupou / Talakai / Holz
4. Lee-Warner / Daly
5. Amotosero / Sinclair
6. Leota / Di Staso
7. Gamble / Wilkin
8. Gleeson / Talataina
9. Gordon / Wilson
10. Edmed / Bowen
11. Lancaster / Reilly
12. Foketi / Walton
13. Kellaway / Pietsch
14. Sua'ali'i / Saunders
15. Jorgenson / Kane
Well that lasted didn't it. Lancaster has apparently already signed for the Reds.

It's probably an error I have made here, though I don't think Randwick or Maroubra are locations I would hunt on a budget. But you are right you don't need to target Vaucluse.

In the mean time the Tahs don't seem to be landing players they might want.
They train at Daceyville, with the new tunnels it is 20 minutes from my place in Drummoyne to Maroubra, and that gets better when they are finished

You will only need to add another 10 minutes for a load of the lower north shore as well when that tunnel is finished as well

Nope...

Star prop Taniela Tupou and new Wallabies winger Darby Lancaster are among a group of seven ex-Rebels players finalising deals to play for the Waratahs next season, easing supporter concern about a lack of recruitment action by NSW.

Tupou is very close to signing a deal to play for NSW, as is Isaac Kailea, who has emerged as a rising star at loosehead prop in his first two Tests against Wales this month.

Wallabies lock Lukhan Salakaia-Loto is still set to return to the Reds but McKellar and Raiwalui appear to have convinced other stars to make the move to the Rugby Australia-owned Waratahs, including Lancaster, hooker Ethan Dobbins and flanker Brad Wilkin. Where Leota will end up remains uncertain but NSW are lobbying hard, according to informed sources.

McKellar is also recruiting from other states, with versatile Reds back Lawson Creighton set to move south and add depth at No.10.

Interesting that they've mentioned Lawson Creighton will move to Waratahs from Reds, i'd heard he was headed to Japan.

Starting to look much more formidable... but still need 2 locks, 2 back rowers and a TH. Rob Leota and either Sam Talakai or Pone would be amazing. Angelo Smith would also be a great addition. Lock is where we are still undersized assuming Holloway is definitely going. Miles A is big enough, but FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner), and Sinclair are really comparatively small unfortunately. (Though I think they're both excellent players... just not as locks.)

Hearing Pone is heading to the Force.
Do we have any word on Ekuasi? He would be good for the Tahs, a backrow of him, Gleeson and Gamble would be nice.

I own a flat in Drummoyne, it is not cheap, FP.I lived in Paddington 10 years, Balmain later 10 years, and well before that lower north shore for about 6. I’ve also worked in Development in lower north shore, over the river, and Zetland. (And west)

it’s not cheap. Btw the tunnel through Balmain is a disaster and anywhere that way is a bad choice for Waratah training.

Mate with respect, your ideas of what is reasonable living cost, and mine - well they diverge.

They did say up to 7 Rebels looking at the Tahs so maybe.
Wonder if the Brumbies are getting anyone else.

If they get tupou and Leota, there will be enough mass at least in teh starting team.

1. Bell 2. Porecki 3. Thor - thats our 2 best go forward front rowers
4. FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) 5. Amatosero - biggest no.5 in Aus
6. Leota 8. Gleeson 7. Gamble - Biggest backrow

If they get Kailea also, I'd be pushing HTS as a full time THP.

But yes, Angelo Smith needs to go somewhere!

I probably wouldn't be starting Gamble much longer if Wilkin signs with the tahs as rumoured.
