I'm just commenting on the fact that people are saying ships is just a finisher, implying he doesn't really create his own opportunities, and that the reds attacking prowess in the midfield is quite limited. Obviously that's not the case.
I'm not saying the Reds backs are all the out and out beat players in their position, however in a team game you need balance, players that compliment each other and players that work together. Just because there are individually better players that doesn't mean it's best for the team. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is a great example of an individually gifted player, who is probably one of our most talented options at 13, but would limit the pill to the wings and the fullback. JOC (James O'Connor) is one of our most individually talented options at 10, however can tend to play selfishly to the detriment of the backline outside of him.
Maybe I'm completely out of line to say that a good option would be to start with our best functioning backline, and then swap in players where we feel they add more without affecting the balance.
