So what about the alleged unrest about Patson that pre-dates the Dublin incident that's been reported and how would you you account for that? I am wondering if there is far more history to this than we know that may answer what started this in the first place which may inform the Beale's (indefensible btw) actions.
There is a significant time line to this which may suggest that there is far more to this.

You mean the unrest we know about from the SMH and "unnamed players".

If there was any unrest before Dublin it can only be as she is a woman. Concerned about here expanding role and involvement in discipline is the line the SMH pump out. What disciplinary actions took place between the Lions and Dublin???? Of course her role expanded. She wasn't it it then she was, expansion!

I can agree with that, but the fact there is and will be information (and I will say the veracity of the information will be questionable) I still believe there is more history to come out.

Your suppositions are both plausible and reasonable, but there are still factors that make no sense that suggests there are some key elements missing. Your logic is sound, but the logic stemming from the information being reported is not.

I would be interested to know how many other women work in and around the Wallabies environment. I would assume if the sexism is so rampant and strong within parts of the ARU that bad its been covered up for a long long time.

Your suggestion about the reporting from the SMH may provide somewhat of an answer - I believe that the moment the opportunity was there to report about sexism in the ARU, we would be already reading about based on the access some journalist have to the Wallabies.

So, if you supply the lolly jar and later on the kiddies are all obese with teeth falling out, its the spoiled self-entitled children who's fault it is because you said no and they didn't listen? So that fact that you told them is sufficient?

Just supposing you restricted the access to the lolly jar do you think the spoilt self-entitled kiddies would still end up obese and their teeth rotting?
Your analogy is junk. You use children as the euphemism, but we are really talking about highly paid professionals. Completely different things.

Georgina Robinson spewed some crap about it not having anything to do with Di being a woman the other day, citing the Boks and Tahs having female tourists. Clearly in line with the tarnish Patston line she's been pushing.

These women aren't in a position comparable to Patstons. They are management and aren't an authority figure within the group.

Perhaps Link isn't as open with her as Deans was nor Chekia. Never understood why she flew around the country to introduce Robbie at events, always seemed odd.

Action needs to be taken against them too. Their lack of action also shows a total lack of respect. Plus if they concealed an act like this . In my opinion they are guilty too.
Who were they supposed to tell? Di Patston, oops she already knew because Beale the mental giant copied her in on the message.

The more concerning thing is they continued to support him Argentina. That takes some explaining and seems incredibly poor judgement.

Strange that she was on the group list and Link wasn't.

Um, have you read the threads about the discipline issues over the last few years? Its not new, and its not surprising.

The caveat to this post is I have assumed Hooper and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) knew about the text. There is a chance they weren't original recipients, but I'd be shocked if they hadn't heard about it in the intervening time or after the mid air exchange.

What arrant nonsense.
Whenever a middle manager is inserted between the boss and the employees there are issues that range from uneasiness to dissatisfaction.
If the changes are communicated properly, these negative feelings are only temporary.if they are not, that's when problems arise.
It's not a gender thing at all.

You don't seem to grasp the gravity of the situation.

Assuming she told anyone, dealing with it in house means EVERYONE gets sacked. At the very least the ARU get hit with a massive lawsuit when Patston decides.

If only she had, you know several years experience doing well in a similar role. Or if Link wasn't so disorganised Yobbo who decided that he wanted to waste his one crack at being the Wallabies coach by staffing with a bunch of people who weren't up to a job.

She had a year or two experience in a much smaller more business based role. Working in the CMC and working with the wallabies are a world apart.

Working with the wallabies or most sports teams is not something you do simply for the pay or to better your career. You do it because you want to achieve in your field, leave your mark on history and enjoy being paid to do something you love.

Key to that is understanding that what is best for team is the first priority at all times, and if a person is not prepared to work under those conditions (which is a totally reasonable decision) then they should not be in the role.

I hope the ARU leverages their connections and looks after her, because they owe that to her. But at the same time I'd hope for the sake of the team she doesn't take this to court.

You make it sound like we could get the enthusiastic Tah's interns in to do it. You also contradict yourself.

No, it a professional role that requires a higher performer. Its a national team - elite sports.

As for being worlds apart, it begs the question about the recruitment process.

Edited my post, I was referring to the commercial aspect.

NP. I do agree they at least need to look after her, and like you I hope she stay out of the courts. But the way this is going, I am starting to think in some ways it might be the catalyst to the game finding that defining moment and change. In saying that its more about my frustration at the unwillingness and lack of change at times. How much more bad press is there to come?

The 4th word you left off is illegal.

The words on that text message took all this to another level.

Which begs the questions - Who decided to deal with this in-house back in June? Who dealt with it? What was the result? Why did no-one tell Link?

This is the bit I don't get - 3 months down the track is serious enough to get a District Court judge to run it, but then either no-one thought to tell him or deliberately witheld it from him.
