    Wallabies 2024

No don't use the stupid Cathy Newman of BBC fame "So You Are Saying". That is not what I wrote.

Not even funny,, you need to do better than that to get a chuckle out of me.

Yes and No, yes they needs those base skills which we are not great at ATT. No - jackling is not an optional skill it needs to be a part of all Wallaby player's skill set.

Agree BH but we need to put some focus on this aspect as we are poor at it. Schmidt may already be working on this area but I haven't noticed it so far.

No it's not a 'nice to have' it is a critical part of all player's skill sets these days. Amazed you guys don't know this.

Let's not be obtuse, by assuming that Jackling is their main attribute. I was calling you out on the assumption that Jackling by backs is optional.

Maybe not the place but might be of interest. New Zealand referee Ben O'Keeffe will be in control of the England-Australia game on November 9 at Twickenham, with Paul Williams as one of the assistant referees and Glenn Newman as the TMO.

Go and tell the French that Danty is their No. 1 jackler. All the tier 1 teams understand that the game is too quick to allow backs to ignore the opportunity to jackle if the opportunity is there.

    Yes it is.

    Wallabies 2024

Read an article by Robbie Deans and he said the level of rugby in Japan is much higher than it was 14 years ago when he went there. It is not a place to go to retire anymore and the players fitness levels are right up there.

Wasn't talking about you Tomikin. I have a fair idea about your ideas.

Ghost do you have any knowledge of how Amatasero is going? I assume he will be in Aus A. Wasn't too impressed with his season at the Tahs but seemed to improve towards the end.

TSR, do you watch him in Japan league? How is he going whilst not fully fit?

    Wallabies 2024

It's funny Phil, many punters here continue to call for Quade but Kerevi who was our best 12 in recent memory has fallen off the perch.

    Wallabies 2024

That's true Tomikin and the moment it reduced (before it fell away), Lolesio proved that he could not make much of 50/50 ball. Had we been able to keep up the dominance we had in those first 15 mins then it could have been different but few teams keep up forward dominance for 80 mins and you...

    Wallabies 2024

Reasonable opinion, packs win games, the backs determine the score, is a fair analogy, and a good part of the problem. But if we have a pack going forward, as the Wallabies have occasionally shown, and the 10 is sitting back and not attacking the line and primarily looking to kick or shuffle it...

    Wallabies 2024

Thanks for your opinion Yoda but I hope Schmidt has some better ideas or we will look poor or worse against the Lions. 10 is a worry, I thought would be resolved after the 2019 U20s success with Harrison looking good and then Carter Gorden. Yet here we are 5 years later with Lolesio a converted...

No apology is needed, I don't do offended. I am not a fan of apologising for comments/opinions I make and I'm certain you do not regret posting what you did. So! Back to Burey what are his strengths and weaknesses is he worth keeping an eye on? As you watch all 10's in the country are there any...

    Wallabies 2024

So I take from this that you watch all the Super Rugby sides and can comment on all potential 10's and Burey's strengths and weaknesses? I call BS on this and BTW I didn't pay for a Stan subscription to watch the crap they have apart from rugby. Donaldson played v Reds game that I remember. I have...

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

SX I agree but the people who ran the Rebels appear to be financially unconcerned about debt. IF there is ever a rugby team in Melbourne again it needs to be run locally with local money. No organisation can accept that level of debt. It seems a common theme in rugby union, my old club had a...
