Interesting, there must be someone amongst that bunch who can actually play the game. Cooper excluded but let's wait and see. BTW you missed Gordon. Who the hell is Burey? Looked him up - can't remember him playing but missed a fair bit of the Force. Is he any good?

What has me concerned is the pre-season enthusiasm for the Tah squad. The coaching is critical and it will be interesting to see how McKellar goes. If it is the normal Tahs way, a few early wins due to a new coach and then apathy.

I agree with you to a certain extent and our player problem is basically poor coaching at Super Rugby level and a lack of talent IDing. Regarding Lolesio and Donaldson, neither are as good as Harrison or Gordon. It's a pity Harrison was injured for a long time and losing Gordon to league was a loss.

No, I have watched a lot of Noah over the last 3? years to know he ain't an international 10 and never will be. All I am saying is that we need to find other options outside of Lolesio and Donaldson who can step up, I don't care if they are 21, 23 or 33 as long as they can play the position. I...

Well apart from having been around and with rugby players for 50 years and seen a few good ones - there is this, assuming they can do the numbers better than you. So in 18 games we have no idea if he is any good or not. I only watched him play that one game @ Reds and a bit of U20s but I reckon...

There's a few commentators out there inc Nick Bishop who think Quade will go on the EOYT. I can't believe it but who knows..

No! I'm suggesting that if we have players like HMP a 10 and Teddy Wilson a 9 with some wraps on him, they should be selected in Aus A to play and see if they look like they can step up. Good coaches have a good understanding of which youngsters can step up and who can't. We all wait until it is...

The Rebels are just one in a long line of sporting edifices that went to Melbourne to die.

Jesus! Slim, I never imagined that the Rebels were eating this amount of money. No wonder there is little cash going into player development or the grass roots.

It's faith without facts it is amazing, try it sometime. BTW I am not stating that facts are irrelevant but sometimes you just need to jump.

BH this is the issue, if you accept that a world class coach you are paying a mil a year for cannot ID others who should be in the mix, then you are in deep shit. We don't have the time to be conservative, we have to bring on the best young talent we have and that is why I would be using Aus A...

Ignoring the current 10 potentials, who else should be in the mix that is currently not? I will start with Harry McLaughlin-Phillips only saw him play one game but I think he has it.

That's how companies fail. There is always talent out there that is better, but finding them and working out how to get the best out of them is the difficult bit.

I am coming to the conclusion that Schmidt is a great structured coach but struggles to pick his nose. He needs better ID spotters than are currently available. In NZ there is a small army of talent spotters giving insights into potential talent, we have next to nobody.

Losers always revert to reality as their excuse, been used for hundreds if not thousands of years. It is hard to rebuild a failed operation and it takes talent but not more than 2 years.

BH faced with two poor managers working for you do you keep one and sack the other or remove both over a short period and replace them with others? What I am saying is, we cannot afford to have two poor 10's in a critical part of the future of the Wallabies. Both these players have been around...

I wonder why? Was it the Super Rugby coaches giving him their insights into a 10? Rennie suffered a similar fate when he started with the team. No real idea about what talent is here and forced to rely on Super Rugby coaches who are all failing at their jobs (admittedly the Brfumbies are failing less). There is...

Let's just all abandon rugby union as a lost cause in AUS and watch the 6 tackles and kick game? Comments like this really piss me off, no idea about building anything just basic puss and nonsense.
