Give me a break!~So an aggressive player cannot improve until the end of his career? What planet are you on?

I would have the 200cm Swain over Frost due to Frost going missing. He needs a serious talking to about his future if he continues to underperform.

An observation - I am worried about McRight, his head on tackling is risking a very bad injury and he needs to fix it urgently.

DrewP, I think we need to keep Bell and possibly Tupoa (if he gets fit) on the pitch longer, at least to 60.

It is the Number 1 weakness, defence wins test matches. And for those of you (excluding you Joe) who think the breakdown is optional and being in the D is everything 2 points, 1 the successful breakdown stats in the first half tell a story. 2. It didn't matter not committing to the ruck, if you...

When you rack up that number of points easily it's hard to stay focused, I expect an Arg V2 effort from the darkness in the next.

Agree but can someone force him to read the rule book, that was one of the most stupid, blatant penalties and questioning the ref proved his ignorance.

I wrote my thoughts earlier about the work MK does off the ball that is underappreciated here. Will Petaia ever be fit enough for any rugby code?

Not in favour of Pietch over MK. Prefer MK's work and strength.

This was true but with the 'finishers' doing a better job than the starters, it adds to the confusion which is Aus rugby.

I guess the obvious one was Italy with Rennie which I thought was madness. Why are professional players training at this level not available for every International game? We used to have a B team that played states and occasionally clubs but be replacements injury or out of form.We would put out...

I totally agree with your points but the rankings have some resemblance to current reality which I think has importance. If we slipped from 5th to 6th I would shrug my shoulders 10th is closer to hell in a strong rugby state. I am hopful that Joe can stop one part of the reason why we are...

The major problem due to our age and experience is real time decision making and that will come with more games and a consistently competitive team.

You and I agree on the importance of the breakdown, one of the most important parts of any rugby game.

I think it's a tactic SA use with one player in rush defence to put on pressure or tackle with the line covering the hole behind him. Paisami's efforts in the past cost us dearly as nobody expected it. Don't disagree with the rest of your post. Not sure our defensive systems are fit for purpose...

I am not sure there was any material change in systems it was more that the guys were up for it. There was still some glaring holes but the guys mostil covered it. Not sure if Laurie still deserves the post but will bow to anyone with more knowledge.

Another point Phitzy, Agree re discipline but I thought our ruck work was slow and combined with no-look passes, cost us the game. Our D was much improved and the scrambling D was excellent. Anyone talking about Koro being over the hill has no idea how much cover work in defence he did(ask Tom...
