Australia v NZ. Bledisloe Cup Series 2024. Sep 21, Sep 28

Please don't - the AB's are 3rd and we are 9th!!!!! They have too many players and history they will not be out of the top 5 in your lifetime. (proviso assuming some daft government doesn't decide to ban it for safety reasons).

Let's just leave it alone altogether. You only make changes that can advantage the opposition if you are the consistent winner. Even then I am not in favour of giving a sucker an even break.

Our passes stick and it's a close game. You are normally more rational than this. We did not get our arses given to us and we put them under pressure in the second half. Another time with this team plus more experience and a better record and we would be saying we could've won it. I think we...

Just watched the game after a month OS and was expecting a hair tearing watch BUT If we can maintain that effort and improve our lineout including competing inc in their 22, then all that's left is the breakdown work which was pretty average. The no look passes and and other minor shit can be...

Ghost, I played with some pretty good half backs and always admired a good one and if Whittaker was a wet blanket who the hell was a dry one in your world? There was the truck driver from Newcastle who walked away - Steve Merrick, he was a bloody good half back, Nic Farr-Jones the best I've...

Al Baxter was a protege of Eddie Jones where Jones decided that scrums only took up X% of a game and to just get them over. Then they went on the EOSTour and we were penalised off the park during one game due to our scrum collapsing, props dropping to knees and scrum shooting backwards, it was a...

Maybe you were in nappies when Chris Whittaker played? So you missed the game of tahs v brumbies where he handed Gregan his arse. He was far in front of Gregan for the last few years when Gregan slowed down and spent more time standing at the back of the breakdown than running around the pitch...

That was Jones V1 running McQueens best into the ground.

Even in the 90's we valued props that's why we brought a couple of good ones from Argentina but we never used them to train our young props. There is a level of madness in our rugby and it has been there for a fair while. Good props are not there just to do the scrummaging and I accept that but...

DC, can we take Bell out of this discussion? He is the first prop chosen in any Wallaby team, he AIN"T pushing for selection.

Slim take off the Brumbies glasses, he ain't a great prop and never was. Good defender, around the park and at the breakdown. A good scrummaging prop he ain't.

Bell has been a decent Wallaby since his first selection. Nongorr is OK but the problem is outside of Bell and Tupoa we don't have any International level props. I think the problem is we don't value a hard scrummaging prop who does the tough stuff but can't sprint for 50 metres.

There is a blur of reality in both Bullrush and yourself. Slipper has always been a mediocre prop but a good player, he ain't the first prop we have had who's average in the scrum. What we don't have is a file of good young props pushing guys like Slipper back to Super Rugby: the same old problem we have...

Where have the young stars of the future been? I haven't noticed any pushing for front row selection.

Argentina v Australia TRC Round 4 Sunday 8 September 5am (AEST)

When I was coaching we got Les Kiss visit one training night, to improve our tackling technique. He said 80% of tackling is mental and the other 20% is technique. In one session, he improved half the team's ability and the others fell into the mental category.

Christ! I've been banging this drum for the last 10 years at least and had a bunch of people saying it wasn't fitness it was skills and training regime - fuck me when most teams tier 1 roll us in the last 15 mins the one thing you can fix is fitness. All players should be aerobically trained...

Not good enough to keep him in the 7 shirt as that was reserved for Hooper. A travesty along with how Pocock was not supported at the breakdown. Often he was there alone, gave me the shits..

Phitzy, can I respectfully suggest you contact RA and make an appointment with Horne. He's just started and if he has half a brain 30 mins with someone at the coal face he should find very interesting. Try to go with some solutions..
