It has no value to the 10 argument when we all know that contrary to the 2020 U20's squad, after which many thought our 10 problems would soon be over, here we are without a clear option that can drive a wallaby team. If we have strong forwards and good backs the 10 can just catch, kick and pass...

We will find out during this RC season. I am on the Bell side of the curve.

Neither Foley nor Cooper in his first iteration could tackle to save themselves, let alone the Wallabies. Barnes was better and I did think about him as he could tackle take the ball to the line etc. had some injuries from my recollection and didn't do the goal kicking most of the time.

Slim we have not had a 10 with all the core skills in the last 20 years.

Eastman. Luckily there is a subset of posters here who know what a talented rugby player looks like. I think Schmidt also saw it and from what is posted above so did RA.

Ignoto, have you heard anything about Mason?

    Wallabies 2024

No, all the RA offer proves is that he'd had enough of Australian rugby and wanted to go to league. I am hopeful that SthX's thought about 2027 is correct.

BH, we are always in that year or two zone, unfortunately, we don't have anyone in the current zone. So we stumble on with our players never living up to our expectations UNTIL they go overseas. I used to see this in business, anyone from OS was better than any local until the inevitable...

I don't think that is correct Eastman. I understood from a RP article that Schmidt had a few discussions with him and expected him to stay. What RA did or didn't do I have no idea. I think he was a great loss to AUs rugby.

with SA's fast and small wingers, it might be a smart call to put Toole out there.

I think it was more to do with his involvement in the match, one of the weakest games I've seen. Wonder if he was overwhelmed or out of sorts...

I'm not surprised, he was given an opportunity, I didn't think he made the best of it. Not mentioned in the unavailables.

Just announced on Rugby Pass that Darby Lancaster has signed with the Tahs.

The other bit about Skelton is the work he does in support and offloading. His hands are pretty good and he try assists on several occasions I have watched him play. Another thing about him is his strength in the tight, It is fine having a good front row but they aren't doing much if the...

TSR, I disagree but not for the RC. We have some excellent locks coming through and I am sure by 2027 we will have a pair of highly competitive locks. Any of these could be in the mix Smith, Frost. Faifua, Blyth. Swain and Rodda should at or near their peak at 30. Williams has all the skills...

It is a bit odd FP, when you think of a standard International lock you think of leaping in lineouts. He doesn't do that but what he does do apart from that is amongst the best in the world.

Melbourne Rebels Players - where are they going?

Very True Tex. The basic issue from my POV is coaching, When you look at the Rebels playing groups over the years they have had some years with excellent players and they should have been one of the best teams in Australia in those years. I was surprised when the Force was shunted and the Rebels...
