I have just been in England for 3 weeks and would not recommend it as an alternative to OZ. DIrty, over populated and almost impossible to drive in the towns. Oh! should have mentioned it's bloody expensive. P.S. The quaint bits are still quaint.

What the - are you going on about? This has to be one of the most inane comments I have seen here. Being broke versus owing 20m strikes me as somewhat similar assessments. When the rebels paid out for all that talent I thought it was stupid but didn't know then that they owed 20m and neither did...

So the Rebels were broke when they bought TT et al for a lot of dough?

Too late Ghost. It is a major problem across most clubs and franchises in AUS.

I also hope the Rebels demise has proven to all Super Rugby teams in AUS that you can't buy your way to greatness.

Agree and with a bit of luck we will be there at the end of this tour.

I am disappointed that Stan is not showing the Reds v Japanese Wild knights on Mon 4th Nov. 7 of the players will be in the full squad.

Yet others seem to pick up our 'poor' talent and make something of them we couldn't. PS thanks for the listing of player OS found it interesting.

The key factor here is the development processes appear to be crap!

Or we only pick poor cattle because the paddocks ain't that great, plus there are too many cattle wanting to graze in them. So smarter people than you see good stock you don't and buy it whilst you go broke.

If you can't see the lack of talent ID and the ability to bring it to a senior level then it must be magic that's transforming them. I've never met a talent scout here, NZ had loads of them in the 70's don't know about these days. Then what are we paying our coaches for if they can't see the...

I think you and Yoda are both right. A good pack gives backs a chance to win but we need a team, not a bunch of individuals the - 'just give it to me and I'll score' style of backs can stuff up a lot of good work as can backs that can't catch well. Been on both sides of this discussion and a...

I think he will. He is a solid player and speaks well, shows some rugby nous and was an excellent U20s capt. The only big ???? is - why the Reds didn't make him their captain.

Nobody can set the world on fire for the Tahs. Hoping, rather than expecting your old coach to do something with them that lasts a whole season and not just the 'Oh! shit a new coach, better pull my finger out' response.

Edmed isn't the only young player with a limited understanding of top level rugby smarts. Most of our players are lacking in basics and any old head, like Gordon could have pointed out how to improve but there is nothing on show in the Tahs to prove it. As I said, better to hear from players who...

TT, I think we have gone through a period where talented players with knowledge have not had the success that's important to mentor players. If you have battled for years and lost most games it means you can't talk much about how to win as you have mainly been defending.

Edmed seems to have improved with the help of some Kiwi players. If you haven't read it: Edmed credits the incredible backline at his disposal for rediscovering his confidence after a lean Super Rugby season. “I had Bryn Hall at nine and he was massive for me just around leadership...

I'm starting to wonder if he will throw the towel in, it's been a long series of injuries.

So, I prefer a positive outlook and DC and John see little but failure and misery. I wonder if you misery makers ever played the game, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose it's a game that mirrors life ie show some fucking fortitude.
