    Wallabies v France 3rd Test - 21 June Sydney

I doubt there'll be any changes to the back line. If Foley struggles again, we might see Beale even earlier.

    Wallabies v France 3rd Test - 21 June Sydney

Dunno, @Hawko, it's a tough call on changing the team. If we'd put in a good display on Saturday, it would be easier to make changes of a developmental nature. On balance, I think I'd prefer to see minimal changes.

    Wallabies v France 3rd Test - 21 June Sydney

Apparently someone at the ARU is clearing everything first. The agreement is nothing tactical -- so nothing about subs, injuries, set piece moves, game plan, etc. So I think it will always be observational. I liked it. As they fine tune it, it could become a nice little feature.

I didn't realize I was so good at funeral music, and I'm not sure why you're eating it either. But if it's the sheet music, that might be what's got you so blocked up. Oh, right, he won't read this. All that wit for nothing.

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

By my unscientific study, it's mostly (although not solely) QLDers who were calling for Phipps to be dropped and replaced by White, and almost entirely QLD who were liking those posts. But no, I'm not implying his only supporters are QLDers, just most of the ones who were ardently calling for...

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

You can only play with the pack that's in front of you, however. Aside from an errant pass in Brisbane, I don't think Phipps has done much wrong. Look, I don't think Phipps is the bees knees. I certainly don't think he should start. I also think that Genia has the highest ceiling -- by far --...

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

Fuck me, some (only some) of you QLDers must struggle getting up in the morning with the size of the chips on your shoulders. Genia has been crap (and it sounds like crocked) all year. White is the form Aussie 9, with Phipps not far behind. When Genia has been good in the past, everyone on...

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

If you read my post, I did say the French were much better. But it seemed to me that we were less accurate too. I also thought McCalman was a downgrade over Palu in this regard.

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

I don't get the Horwill love, to be honest. He was fine, but not as effective as Carter last week. Our clean outs were much more accurate in Brisbane, it seemed to me, and that contributed to the slower ball. French much better around the ruck, too, so we needed an even bigger performance from...

    MOTM vs France 2nd Test

    3. Kepu 2. Slipper 1. Folau (purely for creating what little space we ever got) HM: Fardy, Hooper.

Hmmm, they both do have an overwhelming passion for Pat McCabe.

    Waratahs 2015

Thought he'd have played enough games to be automatically shifted to a contract for the year? Isn't that part of the union rules?

    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

    Ewing Theory alert.

    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

Comparing JOC (James O'Connor) and Kurtley is instructive. Both were schoolboy stars who burst onto the Super and international scene very early, with quick success. Both were afforded a lot of opportunities by Deans and both proved they could be among the world's best at their positions when playing well. Both...

    Waratahs 2015

Izzy can crash at my place. We've even got Frenchies across the hall. Actually, I remember what my wife said the last time she saw him on tele. Invitation rescinded.

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

Well, yeah. That's why I don't think it matters whether he can "play 80 minutes" right now. He's there to get used to the program, gain some experience and, if circumstances permit, get 20 or 30 minutes in one of the games. Last season, people were worried if he could play 60 minutes and he's...

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

Gotta say, I don't get the kerfuffle over Skelton. Leaving aside the 80 minutes furphy, he's a very young guy who is only into his first full season of Super Rugby. He's obviously being placed around the squad with a view to development. If we win on Saturday, I expect to see Jones rotated out...

    Waratahs 2015

Yup. In a bidding war, the ARU mightn't have much chance if Toulon and the NRL both open their wallets.

Probably whatever unpronounceable, painful-as-fuck thing happened to his ankle was bothering him by that point.

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

IMO, there's no way AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) will be benched unless he has a consistent drop of form for an extended period of time. After Folau and alongside To'omua, he's the most certain starter in the Wallabies back line for the RWC. So if Speight comes in it will likely be at the expense of Cummins, or...
