Ah, I wondered if something like that was the case...

Yup. There are some jokers here I wouldn't trust to run a cake stand at the school fete.

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

Sales look alright, according to the Ticketmaster website: Grey is sold out, dark blue is lots available. Not bad with a week to go and little effect from last night's top performance yet to be seen.

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

I don't doubt that your anecdote occurred, but it's not an argument. There is absolutely no value for the ARU in catering to fans who want to pay the same amount for Wallabies games as the Super Rugby games. Not to mention the far more obvious point: $55 is NOT a premium price. It's actually a...

Palu Syndrome: a fan's inability to clearly see the number on a guy's back, leading to accusations of incompetence when in fact the number is obscured by constantly cleaning out rucks. Experienced by fans in inverse proportion to the respect accorded the player by other players, as measured by...

To'omua seems to be very well suited to test rugby -- more so than Super. Reminds me of Berrick Barnes before the head knocks and injuries sapped his confidence.

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

I think people have a pretty unrealistic understanding of the economy of an event like a rugby test. We remember prices from 10 years ago and think they should be the same, but the reality is that costs have been rising consistently in Australia over the last ten years. Just in the last 3 years...

    Waratahs 2015

It's a shame to lose Alofa, but the bloke was clearly hunting for a good pay cheque, changing codes, etc. You can't blame the guy for grabbing some cash when he can. We really should sign Crawford now, however. But the Rebs might throw some real money his way.

Since there's more French in Bondi these days than Brits of all persuasions, I reckon the SFS crowd should shape up nicely.

First time I can remember with no one complaining there are too many Waratahs.

Braveheart81 mentioned on the other thread that AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has more caps the rest of the back line combined, which surely puts to rest any speculation as to why he got a VC job. McCabe on the bench over Horne is a good pick. He can play 11-15 and is an equally good defender. Like AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) who has defied...

Not to re-hash old history, but McCalman and how he was instructed to play is not what lost us the match against Ireland. It was getting dismantled at the scrum, held up in every second tackle, and kicking in general play like a pack of nine-year old numpties.

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

It's not rocket science. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is easily the most experienced back and an absolute certainly to start when healthy, which are almost certainly the main reasons he's been chosen as a VC.

    Waratahs 2014

I saw a survey recently (Fairfax?) that had ticket prices as the biggest reason people don't go to games. It wasn't scientific and there were some odd options, but I suspect that pricing is a bigger deal for your on-the-fence punter than many of us die hards would realize.

Moore likely won't play more than 60 with TPN healthy. Different story last year, when Fainga'a was often the backup. But yeah, seems like a sound selection and good pair of VCs too.

Chiefs vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Round 16 2014

Phipps has an annoying habit of not picking out a target when he sees a cluster of players -- sometimes he sort of just passes at the group. Otherwise, I think his accuracy has improved over the course of the season. Overall, he is a huge upgrade over McKibbin.

    Waratahs 2014

And if we send your dismal Reds team into the offseason with yet another crushing defeat, I'll consider it the icing on our cake.

I'm sure Link knows how to use Microsoft Word and can easily move AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to a different table cell.
