NRC Rnd 4 - Western Force v Canberra Vikings - UWA Sports Park - 21 Sep - 3 PM (WST)

Wright and Pulu out. Won't lose anything with Ikitau and Banks coming in. I thought George Morseu was a No 9? I believe he is quick, but has he got experience in the outside backs? Who will take the goal kicks? Perhaps Simone?

    Rugby World Cup 2019

Agree John. I expect the Wallabies to progress to the QF. A loss in a QF would confirm their current status according to World Rankings. Making the SF would meet my highest expectations. Making the final would exceed all expectations while winning the final is just not a realistic...

NRC Rnd 4 - Western Force v Canberra Vikings - UWA Sports Park - 21 Sep - 3 PM (WST)

Looks like Nick Scrivener at least has decided Noah Lolesio is the front runner for the No 10 spot. I had hoped to see Bayley Keunzle given equal time in that spot. He looked very assured in the 10 minutes or so he got in the first game this year, but has seemed to be preferred at 12 in later games.

RWC Pool D: Wallabies v Fiji, Sat 21st September, 2.45pm AEST, Sapporo Dome

I love your re-interpreting of posts. I can't see where Seb says that Hooper is going to be poor, and I'd suggest no-one really has said that. There are criticisms of the way he plays in the No 7 jersey and there are comparisons with the way Pocock plays which are often to Hooper's detriment...

NRC Rnd 4 - Western Force v Canberra Vikings - UWA Sports Park - 21 Sep - 3 PM (WST)

I note there's not a huge difference in scrum success rate stats. This is the weakest part of the Vikings' game and a part where the Force are likely to attack. If the Force can starve the Vikings of ball, as has been the case in earlier Vikings' games this year, and win a few scrum penalties...

NRC Rnd 3: Vikings v Brisbane City

D, I'd argue that Wright is a better pilferer and is just as dangerous running wide in attack. I am not aware of any defensive deficiencies in his game, but he might not be up with Hooper in that regard atm. He is young and will improve. Hooper is a machine but I fear one that will start to...

    Way off topic - sorry.

NRC Rnd 3: Vikings v Brisbane City

Personally, I'd like to see the Wallabies heading towards that combination from next year onwards. Probably a bit early for McReight in 2020, but Liam Wright would be an exceptional inclusion for the next couple of years or until he is eclipsed by McReight. Shame we will have to accommodate the...

And that was after a balmy 25 degrees the day before.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I agree Wamb. We might not win many games by having a superior goal kicker, but sure as hell, if and when the first choice kicker has an off day, we will lose in unexpected circumstances.

    Rugby World Cup 2019

Two or three NRC games will be world's better for getting into the mood.

    Brumbies 2020

I thought there was some speculation that he went there only for RWC cover or for a limited season and would possibly be back for 2020. It now appears that he won't be back next year.

Aus v Fiji apparently canceled due Tsunami or Typhoon or floods or heat.

Does Vui's signing indicate Makin won't be back?

    Waratahs 2020

Reg, we're getting right off topic now, so I think I'll leaver it there. That is not an admission though.

    Waratahs 2020

Burey always struck me as a Rod Kafer style of player. Not really sure that he is up to Super Rugby standard.

NRC Rnd 3: Vikings v Brisbane City

Valetini's defense was exceptionally strong and should have had him considered for the MOTM.

    Waratahs 2020

Happy with Jahrome Brown in the 7 spot, but there's not a lot of pilfering capability after him. Not yet impressed with Miller after two NRC games.

    Brumbies 2020

He had a couple of quite solid Shute Shield seasons playing in the centres, 2018 and 2019, the latter as captain of the Premiers Sydney University. Runs good lines and runs hard. Have long thought he would be Super standard, but I'm still not really sure where he fits into the Brumbies with the...
