    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Yeah that's where I was grabbing the info from, and unfortunately only a handful of games across the season for each stadium have been reported

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Different venues with different locations, accessibility, and attributes - the Tahs did a decent job at luring some fans back, all I'm saying is that it isn't the only factor at play. Even then, the official figure for the Blues game (which I believe was the most attended) was 14k, so we're not...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Would love to see the data you're referencing - a 300% improvement would essentially mean Leichhardt was above capacity all season...

    Wallabies 2023

Can't see any real changes to this, but wouldn't surprise me if they travel with closer to 40 given the distance, expected physicality, and run of injuries.

The ridiculous rumoured ban against a fan for calling Eddie Jones a traitor

Considering there's footage of two separate instances of Eddie being called a traitor and arking up (on the field, and walking down through the stands), there's no doubt a lot more - not necessarily from the same person/people - that we haven't seen

The ridiculous rumoured ban against a fan for calling Eddie Jones a traitor

Never understood why people think paying for a ticket gives them a right to make a dick of themselves at the expense of players, coaches, etc. Not a good look for anyone involved. The fact that it was filmed, the look on his face, and the person behind the camera saying something to the effect...

    Wallabies 2023

Saying something many times over doesn't make it more correct. Aside from his handful of unfortunate kicks in game 2, I actually thought he looked more threatening (in terms of bending the line) than Noah. One rusty performance after missing a significant amount of footy due to injury and he's...

I’m not sure I’d turn down competing at a Commonwealth Games if given the opportunity, either…

    Refereeing decisions

My understanding from the discussion last week is that the 'realistic chance' consideration isn't about the initial contact/attempt that knocks the ball forward, but whether there's a reasonable chance to collect on another attempt before it hits the ground (i.e., whether the ball lands far...

    Refereeing decisions

It's semantics - if you make an intentional play at the ball, which then falls in a way where you have no chance of regathering, that is a knock-on as a result of your deliberate actions.

    Wallabies 2023

I think I recall reading Cooper, Kellaway, and Holloway are expected back, but Rodda is longer term.

While I agree, McLennan has also come out and said specifically that Burton is a target

Australia v England: Match III, SCG, Sat 16th July 7.55pm AEST

I can't imagine it's going to be pretty, and I'd say WRs recent updates to head contact and concussion protocols are an attempt to get on the front foot and are preemptive of bigger changes. I saw that WR (World Rugby) are offering them to all players at the Women's World Cup which, as you said, will be...

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC314393/ this is the one. Their methodology was bench test rather than in situ, but interesting regardless. There's also this one, which is more recent and has great detail https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10439-022-02912-5 Interestingly the...

Disagree. He played some great footy and was rewarded with a Wallabies call-up in only his second season.

Not impossible - Wendell Sailor, Mat Rogers, Brad Thorn, Lote Tuqiri, Clinton Shicofske, Karmichael Hunt, Timana Tahu (and others I’m sure) had origin caps before moving (or moving back) to Union. If they want to make the move, they want to make the move.

As well as cuts and cauliflower, there's a few papers floating around that show headgears do reduce impact force more than you'd think, however their effectiveness decreases over the number of impacts (i.e., they fatigue/wear out). Type 1 is honeycomb, type 2 is the 'older' Madison style...

You mean the difference between 6 and 8 isn't like handing a sparky a scalpel and asking them to perform brain surgery?

I think Tupou needs to start to get amongst, and hopefully win, the early physicality. Never a bad position to be choosing between 7As (Allan Ala'alatoa) and Tupou though
