    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

Of course, but I don't think the suggestion is around running 30m across the field for 5m forward like it's 7s or League; it's about a shift in some players' decision making from making strong contact through tackles (i.e. hitting holes between tacklers) towards attempting to run straight over...

Irrespective of their proposed changes, I think this is a noteworthy point

    Super Rugby 2022

Honestly really glad to see that they're doing this, and doing a pretty comprehensive job of it at that

    Argentina v Australia Sun, 7/8/2022, 5:10 am

Pretty sure Cooper confirmed on an Instagram story he is good to go if selected

    Fiji v Australia A 1:30pm Saturday 9 July

Haven’t heard anything, but it was apparently only a grade 1 tear. I do wonder if they’ll just strike a line though him and give his body a rest before a long preseason heading into Super.

Finally got some mail on this - minor tear to his quad during warmup. Same leg as his foot and hamstring injuries earlier in the year

    Refereeing decisions

From memory the hair pulling laws were strengthened (or maybe even introduced?) following some incidents in women's games where players were being dragged to the ground by their ponytails. The discussion has been had, and a penalty (instead of a yellow, as seen with the Hill debacle) is what...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Same thing that happened before 9 lost the cricket coverage, albeit with fewer 'characters' keeping it chugging along. Low energy, stale, and fans are crying out for something new (in this case, Fox). Agree about the England series, and their coverage of Super - it's been pretty good in my...

    Australian Rugby / RA

The uproar this has created is evidence why the gesture matters, and that there is still a hell of a long way to go. I cannot imagine how a player or fan who is a member of a minority community (LGBTQ+ or otherwise) would be feeling off the back of this. I honestly hope it leads to the league...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Genuinely curious as to what comparison is being drawn? One is an organisation promoting inclusivity within a sport, the other is an individual sharing their exclusionary beliefs. Apples and oranges in my view. Edit: just caught up on players threatening to withdraw. Buckling up for this...

    Australian Rugby / RA

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by 9 and assoc. since they took over as rugby’s primary outlet - it’s mostly been simple, straightforward coverage. Fox is the absolute pits though, regardless of the sport.

Surely Fox and Christy Doran wouldn’t ever publish an opinion piece purely designed to stir the pot and generate clicks!

    Yep, he has

    Qld Premier Rugby 2022

Aside from a kick that went long, he's attacking the line well and consistently creating opportunities - although I suppose you'd hope so playing in prems

    Qld Premier Rugby 2022

Surely a break with how quickly he came off? Not good for the build into '23

    Wallabies 2023

With JOC (James O'Connor) lining up at 12 for Brothers today, do we think that’s indicative of Rennie’s outlook? i.e. 10. Cooper/Noah 12. O’Connor? If JOC (James O'Connor) can get his ‘sharpness’ back, I don’t mind it to be honest.

The ridiculous rumoured ban against a fan for calling Eddie Jones a traitor

I heard he got up there using an access path for contractors/workers, so assuming it was stairs/ramps/handrails/etc. - no info more solid than that though, and they probably don't want people to know in case of future attempts.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Sydney has ~2.5x population of Brisbane - with Brisbane (and surrounds) soon to have 3 NRL teams (Broncos, Titans, Dolphins), along with a number who have allegiances to the Cowboys and interstate teams. It's a far more competitive environment than you're suggesting.
