I can see your avatar BR, but not Gagger, Dismal and formerflanker (on this page) and some others on other threads. All others seem ok. The mysteries of the internet - and I'm certainly the wrong demographic to have the faintest idea about why and/or how to fix it. I'm using Chrome - this...

True, but he's the type of player that Cheika likes. Expect a Pocock, Hooper & McMahon backrow when the prodigal son returns, or at the very least McMahon coming off the bench as a utility backrower.

I've noticed that some avatars seem to have been whitewashed, but most seem to be unaffected.

What is your biggest wish for Australian Rugby?

I made exactly the same wish 2 or 3 years back RN. Sadly I'm still waiting. I hope you have more luck with the wish.:)

He mustn't as it would seem to be the ideal sport for him to work his "magic".;)

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

Re the 5/8 discussion, I think that history suggests the following: Cheika clearly rates Foley as his preferred candidate (I assume because of his style of play matching the Cheika preferred style) He doesn't really rate Cooper as an alternative He doesn't think that the other available...

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

It's a lot easier to look good in attack against the Boks or Pumas than it is against NZ or England, but your general point is fine. Our attack has certainly improved since the lamentable June tests, in which it was disjointed and slow. I think that Cheika's point about the lack of fitness of...

There should also be a more account taken of the margin. Currently it's 1-14 or 15 plus. It really should be able to be calculated on each individual point of the margin.

I posted the link in post #9 of this thread. I'm not defending the system by the way, but it seems designed to account for the strength of the team that you play.

England are the only team IMO who can threaten the ABs at the moment. I can't see us beating either of them on a regular basis for some time.

It means that you aren't disadvantaged rankings-wise by playing stronger teams (i.e. the All Blacks), which was your point wasn't it? Nor are you advantaged by consistently playing weaker teams. So, playing the All Blacks regularly makes no difference to rankings. Which I assumed was your...

But as I understand the WR (World Rugby) rankings system, who you play makes no difference to the ranking as opponents strength is weighted in the calculations. (Not that I have particular confidence in the rankings by the way)

Yes indeed others, particularly England, have improved - in their case a dynamic administration has completely transformed the game there. And yes, where we are now is the new normal as it reflects the state of the game at all levels. So no, the fault does not lie with Cheika. Dare one...

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

He does seem to have got himself into something of a mess selection wise. This can happen when a team is tinkered with on a weekly basis (see Deans, R). Sometimes is good for a coach to wipe the slate clean and pick his best 15/23 in the most suitable positions.
