    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

I hope your right. Would love to see Ready in the squad sooner rather then later.

What is Palmer up to these days? Coaching anywhere?

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

He'll get his shot next year after he displaces Moore as the first choice hooker at the reds. Shouldn't take too long I'd imagine.

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

The whole team should be trained to dive in on Hooper tackles, or too take advantage of a Pocock turnover. The 2 nearest players should automatically go for it, even if it's a winger and a fullback. That seems to be the difference between Aus and NZ. NZ players just make the right decisions from...

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

Exactly. It's like our whole team is in shock with the turnover and just stand around and watch him before they react, happens every damn time.

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

Douglas, Coleman, the whole front row should be able to do it pretty well. The back-row is where it gets tricky. Hooper, Poey and Fardy, with a change of mindset have the physical attributes to do it too. Although all seem to have the fetchers mindset of hitting rucks - mindset to disrupt/slow...

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

We don't have the forward pack right for that strategy though. That was essentially the primary tactic the Tahs used in 2014. Kepu, Douglas, TPN not in the same form/not as effective at Test level. There is no Palu, Potegetier. We need big strong counter-ruckers for that and we simply don't...

Reds Squad looking bloody good for next year!

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

That's almost 100% defensive structure. Numbers in rucks is a tactic too and we keep getting it wrong. That is on Cheika more-so then the players. The amount of mis-matches from NZ backs to Aus forwards, and the amount of overlaps created is certainly a strategic error. We can't blame players...

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

I don't think expecting your winger to make a one-one tackle against an opposite outside back is expecting too much, despite those stats you posted. Especially given how physical DHP is on attack. It's not like he's Jessie Mogg and it's not like he's defending 1v1 against Kaino or Rettalick...

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

I disagree. I don't think the argument "he didn't make those one on one tackles because he's not the man you want there in the first place." is a good enough reason to keep him in the team, or even move him to fullback. Also refer to @bravehearts post. He sums it up well.

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

That's only half of DHP's problem though. Many of those misses he was in a position to make the tackle but he slips off. It's not like the opposition were hitting huge gaps in the "poor defensive structure". DHP is more to blame then the structure IMO. I think in DHP's case is simply a case...

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

And in DHP's case, I think 99% of this forum had DHP in there starting line-ups despite his poor defensive efforts against England. He was still clearly the best option. No-one expecting him to continue the poor defensive lapses. But he did, so he should rightly go down the pecking order. No...

Fair call. Not sure if you noticed though, but Cheika likes to try things that fail a couple of times before trying something else.

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

Nah that's BS. Cheika doesn't need to "own" the fact DHP missed so many tackles. Maybe you can blame one for inexperience and poor positioning but half of those missed tackles had nothing to do with being on the wing and everything to do with poor technique. I don't recall Folau missing any...

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

He can stay in the extended squad but surely can't start next game. Time for Morahan to have a crack - maybe he can reproduce his B&I Lions game.

    Brumbies 2017

Damn big loss, right before he was hitting his straps, i bet he would have had plenty of game time next year and pushed for wallabies selection. I hope he stays in Aus and gets plenty of game time.

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

Godwin I feel could be the Ryan Crotty of the Wallabies. Solid all-round but not a world-beater in any area. Which can work well with a flyhalf like Cooper. Hodge looks like a good prospect too and just having him on the field will give us a long-distance kicking option. I really want him to...

Nice work KOB, but if Hodge is in there so should Kerevi. He played a whole season last year and 2 international games this year at 12. I think that qualifies.
