Yes he caught him but attempted the tackle too soon and fell off it from memory.

Sefa is a better all around payer and a touch quicker IMHO.

I cannot understand why he was not starting from the game against Fiji. His pace is unrivaled and his defense and understanding of the game are a step above our other out and out wingers.

There must be players running around in Shute Shield, the Brisbane comp and even in Perth who can transition up to Super rugby? The NRC has showcased some excellent talent of late. The foreign player policy needs to be revisited and the numbers of them permitted reduced, particularly if we do...

    The Wallabies Thread

We have very little of the Super Rugby season left, especially for 4 of our teams. I guess the coaches can flog the likely Wallabies and try and get them in better shape for the RC. Is Fardy available or has he been given an early release? Will McMahons injury keep him out for the RC? I assume...

Hornes greatest strength is his defense. I would guess TKs is better. TK was not great last week and Cheik may be giving him a rest as suggested. He will be on the bench. Higgers better on the ball than Hanigan but not sure he is the type of player Cheika likes and he's had 2 tests to make 8 his...

As previously stated, I do like having a couple of selectors that are removed from the running of the side. It just makes a lot of sense to have some input from outside of the group but that of course is within line with what the coach is trying to achieve. Fresh ideas and direction from within...

    Australia v Italy, Suncorp Stadium, 24th June 2017 @ 3:00pm

No, but it will mean that we play at a higher speed for longer and more effectively. All sides are impacted by injury and a good level of fitness helps in that regard as well. Why does Cheika have to flog them to try and bring them up to a decent level of fitness every time they get together?

It looks like they should start with fitness coaches at Super Rugby level. One at each franchise responsible for making sure all of the players, particularly the Wallabies, are in tip top shape at all times. It is a much more plausible explanation that our core skills go missing when we are...

Italy are the type of team that can draw us into a dogfight, like Scotland but not as polished. I hope we see some controlled and well considered expansive play, zero tries scored against us and some adjustments at the breakdown to protect our ball.

    Australia v Italy, Suncorp Stadium, 24th June 2017 @ 3:00pm

Yes and no. The defensive system we have in place is not working very well. The breakdown work is not up to scratch and by his own admission the players are not putting in enough effort. Sure there may be a lack of depth but we need some changes in direction and coaching for the side. A new...

The whole backline seem to want to kick away the pill!!!! Yes, I forgot about that. Aside from that he is very reliable and invariably makes the right decision. Even the kick for Folaus "try". It really did not need to be made. DHP was unmarked in the middle of the field with nothing but an open...

DHP had another good game. Has he ever had a bad one? He makes ground every time he is given the pill, especially so when in traffic. He reads the game very well and more often than not puts himself in the right place at the right time and very rarely makes a mistake. I would not have a problem...

I put myself through the misery of watching the game again last night. It was a very exciting seesawing battle, as they have all been with the Scots recently. Their defense was excellent. I mean really good but they were also way offside for a good portion of the first half. If they can get away...

It is a bad look when the coach is publicly calling out his players and does not admit fault. Surely a sign that the Wallabies are on a slippery slope and Cheika does not know what to do about. All good points mate.

Cheika might have gone too far in his changes. There was one starting forward from the 2015 RWC final pack. We had two rookies props, a couple of pretty new locks and two very green backrowers in the 23. We need some balance as well as change.

DHP has a pretty good boot as does Hodge. Our exit strategy is so predictable that's its no wonder we are getting charged down. Genia telegraphs when he is going to box kick. When he doesn't then the opposition knows its one hit up then a clearance by Foley.
