    The Wallabies Thread

Hanigan did not make an impression in June other than he is not quite ready physically. Another year in the gym and he may be right. Fardy and McMahon are both off OS. How/why the hell did they push McMahon to leave anyway? I would have Fardy in the RC squad along with RHP as 6s and Higgers as a...

IMHO Robertson performed better than Sio and Smith in the recent tests. I have not watched much of the Force this year but surely they have an adequate LH prop? Sio is on the way back from injury TBF but he does seem to have trouble adjusting his technique when THs have figured him out. He just...

    The Wallabies Thread

It would be interesting to know. He is our most talented upcoming hooker but it would be fair to assume he does not like hard yakka and may not be willing to do everything possible for the cause, a typical failing of many Tahs this year. We don't need that attitude in the Wallaby setup.

Is it true that Latu did not turn up for Tahs training? Reported on the latest podcast. True or not?

    Waratahs 2017

Tahs need a rebuild from the top down. The Reds could use a shake up as well. Lets hope for a much better 2018 for both and the other Oz Super sides.

Force Vs Waratahs, Round 17 - Saturday 15th July, NIB Stadium

Congrats to the Force and mostly to the legend Hodgo. Thats how you play when you want to send your captain out on a high. That is legitimate passion and it cannot be bottled Cheika.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

It is an excellent article and on the money. But we have more issues locally in Australia than a failing Super comp. Rugby in this country is really on a slippery slope and could be dealt an irreversible blow if something is not done to buck the current trend soon. I find myself not wanting to...

    Brumbies 2018

Why are they re-signing him? We obviously need to unearth some 5/8 talent to back up Foley and to step in when he is finished. With one of the franchises about to be canned and Lealifano back on deck for 2018 surely they could give that contract to a youngster?

Waratahs v Jaguares, Round 16 - Saturday 8 July, Allianz Stadium

That's the U12s. We are talking about full time, well paid professional rugby players. If they do the same they should be out of a job and if they show signs of doing the same in training then they should never be selected.

Waratahs v Jaguares, Round 16 - Saturday 8 July, Allianz Stadium

I don't buy it. This is the cream of Australian rugby. It's not as if there are better players out there. This side is top heavy with Wallabies. Cheika was able to motivate them to perform at near the best of their ability. I have not seen the game BTW. There are reports in the media that the...

Waratahs v Jaguares, Round 16 - Saturday 8 July, Allianz Stadium

Thats the bottom line. Cheika had them in pretty good shape before handing off the reins. We really need to find some decent Australian coaching talent from within Australia or abroad, most likely the latter, to take over the Tahs and bring them back. God I wish Link was still in the picture or...

How many of the current squad play(ed) at either of those clubs?

    Where to for Super Rugby?

He is right of course but who wants to step into the hot seat, or sit in it? They do need to go. What about someone like Rod McQueen? We are going to need some very clever people leading the way if rugby in Australia is going to survive and eventually thrive.

But his tackling was bordering on legendary. Tough as nails and hit way above his weight. He was an out and out bosh merchant who almost always got you across the gain line as a centre but also his defense was water tight. I played with a bloke just like him and it was very reassuring to have...

    The Wallabies Thread

No, the defense coach is not responsible for charge downs etc. However, the Tahs have shipped an average of 34 points a game this year and in 2016 the Wallabies defensive record was not great. No question that Grey has a good pedigree but he does need to devise something more effective for the...

That was the most points Italy have ever scored against us in a test.

    The Wallabies Thread

The defense in the first two games was very bunched giving Fiji and then Scotland a lot of room out wide. It may not be reflected in the tackle stats but how many clean breaks were made against us? I cannot remember Italy ever making an authentic clean break previously but they opened us up once...

It appears to be A. Crap. While the Tahs are shaking up their coaching structure the Wallabies seem to be consolidating theirs. Why wouldn't they?? Are they lining him up to be Larkhams assistant after 2019?

    The Wallabies Thread

Cannot be A as he is not doing a good job at either the Wallabies or the Tahs this year. Why the hell do we need a press conference to announce either? The support coaches are getting on board the self engrossed media train as well? I'd guess B and he is off to OS.
