    Where to for Super Rugby?

I'm interested to see if the supposed British and Irish League has any legs. Because if so I can see the SA and Italians being cut out. Which presents an interesting opportunity as far as I'm concerned. If it does get up the Cheetahs and Kings could be looking to rejoin Super Rugby and the two Italian...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Play 2 on Friday and 2 on Saturday and 1 Sunday. Have each country have their own highlight games in their ideal time slot of 7:30 with the other on delay. Make the Sunday a 2:30 game. It's won't always work out perfectly but still better than watching games in the dead of night.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The Tahs are. They're taking their game against Bulls to Tamworth.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I'd imagine the Brumbies would chuck up an almighty stink if they were to be left out. Which would be fair considering they've been about since 96. But that's not a bad idea. Though I'd go 3 Aus, 4 NZ, Fiji and the Sunwolves. How would you structure it. A Straight 7 games plus finals or two...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

So, without seeing the article it's speculating a move to a Time zone based structure with Japan. How many Japanese teams? Could be interesting but I agree. They need to address the issues that caused Super Rugby to fall away. If they don't were just repackaging a turd.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Pretty much. Streaming offers a whole new range of possible means to digest content. Was reading about a new app MIA that will offer subs 6 NBA games a week in 'mixed reality'. Allowing for dynamic stats and analysis of games as they play out etc.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I reckon a lot of the lost time can be directly attributed to 'gamesmanship'. Stop the clock. Set timer for 30 secs. Form up and execute on the call in the case of scrums. Any collapses unless clearly obvious due to field conditions would immediately come with a short arm for the offending team...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

By stopping the clock and enforcing the shot clocks I suspect you'd actually see these platforms would move a lot quicker than at present or just putting in the shot clocks. Being forced to set the platform in a prompt order and not restarting the clock until they are successfully set I reckon...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

I'd imagine much like the Jaguares XV they'll be based somewhere in SA for the duration of the competition.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Another area could be the line out. You get a lot of 'injuries' around them. I reckon you stop the clock for both and install shot clocks for the set ups. Say 30 seconds. If you take longer than 30 secs to form up and set then it's a short arm the other way. Clock starts when the hooker throws...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Things like the power try and not being allowed to kick it into full from your own 22m might work well in Super Rugby. Richie McCaw suggested stopping the clock on scrums until the ball is fed in an effort to reduce time wastage. Apparently that would add a fair bit of extra time to the game. Someone on...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That'd be interesting. Something like either two groups of 8. So 8 NZ provincial squads plus our 5 (minus Wallabies) and Fiji, Samoa and either Tonga or even potentially Hong Kong playing each other once for 7 game with the top 4 from each going to the a finals series. Or 2 groups split into...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

I agree. I just hope the SARU eventually opens the doors to promotion from the 1st Div to the Premier Div as there's only so far they can develop at that level. Look at the Jaguares XV. They utterly dominated the 1st Div last season. Wasn't even close. They would have earned the right to playoff...

The Currie Cup 1st Division. So not quite the top of the tree. Which is a pity.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

In it's current guise. I seriously doubt it would. It would need a significant upgrade and reorientation to be even remotely interesting to potential investors if at all. But still, it should be looked at. My ideal scenario is as follows; - RA and importantly the respective State Unions stop...

If so then that was plenty stupid because that was never guaranteed.
