I like the fresh reserve idea and agree Paila has been good and provides some bulk to a smallish pack, especially with Aho now gone to France. Maybe he should start with La La and Connor with Samu replacing La La at half time as Samu still looks a bit short of match fitness to me. I'd stay...

Cayden should play at 10 and take over the goal kicking. I would move Samu back to 8 with Paila dropping back to 2nds. With Cayden back there probably isn't room for Browne as he's too slow for the wing IMO. So the backline would be: Boileau (half) Matehaere (10) Horwitz (12) Hepetema (13) Ford...

Good call re man of the match Pete. I was unsure about the move of Rennie to FB but he's grown in confidence and it gives him more room to attack. His decision making is also better than Ford who was playing FB earlier in the season. I still think there's a case for Toby Browne being in 1sts...

IMO he's going well. His defence is OK and his passing and decision making are excellent. Not so sure about his kicking game but that's not really part of the Wicks approach this year anyway. He made a few mistakes against Eastwood but the whole team struggled in the conditions that day. I think...

Anyone know what the story is with Cayden Matehaere? I don't think he's played since the Uni game. Is he injured or gone elsewhere?

    MANLY 2013

They say a draw's like kissing your sister but I thought it was a good result for Manly away from home. Any news on the seriousness of the injury to Dylan Sigg? One of the best on ground before his injury IMO.

    Shute Shield 2013 Transfers

You're probably right but I only asked as there are plenty of rumours about him coming to Sydney -- to about 4 different clubs!

    Shute Shield 2013

Congratulations Gibbo! Probably significantly lessened the pain of the Wallabies defeat a few hours afterwards, assuming you were sober enough to watch it!

They're probably too busy fighting over the free seat allocation for the Lions game tomorrow night!

    Shute Shield 2013 Transfers

Anyone know whether Kyle Godwin is coming to the Shute Shield when the S15 is over? If so, which club (I know various have been rumoured)?

    MANLY 2013

Yep, pretty impressive list! Some interesting decisions coming up for Blake. Unfortunately the Wicks have only got Beale, Kepu and Mitchell and I doubt we'll see any of the first two and Mitchell's heading to France at some point. Unless we pick up some new signings from the Force or Rebels what...

    MANLY 2013

I've got nothing against Eastwood but I hope you win 1sts as it's looking like a 2 horse race this year otherwise!

    MANLY 2013

Good luck tomorrow Dave! I hope the track at Milner has recovered from the rain. I'm looking forward to watching a good open attacking game on the ABC, but clearly the Marlins will need to match the Woods in the forwards to stand a chance. The Wicks did win 3rds and 4ths last week by competing...

    Shute Shield 2013

I didn't mean to be critical. I'm one of his biggest supporters! I was just pointing out that he's played much better games this year and apart from a bad missed tackle (on Tom Kingston) in the Uni game he's hardly put a foot wrong all year. He spent some time with the Waratahs pre-season. If...

    Shute Shield 2013

I agree, but that wasn't his best game. I thought he panicked a few times and threw some passes that were too hard for the conditions. At 18 years old with no time in colts or lower grades he's obviously on a steep learning curve, but I think he has the talent to succeed.

    Shute Shield 2013

The NSWRU website has times and places listed for the catch up games, but not in the Wet Weather section, that would be too obvious! You need to look at the Shute Shield etc "Draws and Results" section.

Yep, I suggest Uni becomes a S15 team so that will get us down to 11 ;)
