    "Pure" excitement, simple..dunno?

Trial Match #2 - Reds vs Crusaders

I think the report was a little harsh on Fainga'a. I didn't see too many hospital passes, in fact he trucked it up a few times to avoid throwing them. Probably more to do with the speed at which the ball was being delivered to him. As for Chambers, he has a huge learning curve to negotiate and...

    Brumbies 2010

Thanks for that CC. Who was the guy playing 12. for the NZ Under 20's last year. I thought he was impressive as well.

    Digby Ioane in 2010

You forgot the :fishing icon Biffo.Presuming you weren't being facetious, I think TOCC meant that the incumbent Wallaby 13 should be played at that position for his S14 side. I don't actually agree with that. I think Digby is one of the world's best wingers and provides the best value there...

    Kiwi's 2010

Very bloody good I have to say! I thik Brett will be a big hit and if he can fire up the attacking arsenal outside him, watch these guys go. These guys look like they will be tough to beat in 2010.

Trial Match #2 - Reds vs Crusaders

I should have added in my earlier report, that Genia brought some spark with him when he ran on. Gee he's a good scrummie.

    Waratahs 2010

The much maligned Tom Carter... He may not have all the skills but those that he does have he uses to the max. Nothing wrong with an honest footballer IMO. As for the apparent 13. dilemma, surely there is a guy running around in the Shute Shield who could fill in capably?

    2010 QLD Club Rugby

I think the Reds are being split up to do promotional work around Brisbane clubs today. Should be a good thrill for the kiddies.

    Brumbies 2010

Anyone watch the Brumbies v. Hurricanes trial? I see that the Brumbies got done 26-5 or something, but I am interested to hear how Matt To'omua went in his comeback game, and whether a few of the young roosters got time off the bench. In the report I read it was interesting to see the name...

Trial Match #2 - Reds vs Crusaders

Whilst the Crusaders looked a little flat, happy to take a trials win over them. Have been hearing a lot of talk about "it's only a trial" but will gladly take 2-0 0ver 0-2 anyday. Plenty of improvement required but lot's to like about the early season fitness and commitment of the Reds. As...

So without QR, a quasi government body, as sponsor, does that mean no obligation to Suncorp and a possible return to Ballymore?

Trial Match #2 - Reds vs Crusaders

Some decent cattle in that Saders squad. Should be a good match for the Reds to assess where they are.

    Waratahs 2010

I might have missed it in an earlier post, but what is the go with Rob Horne? Is he injured or will we see him in a trial?

Trial Match #2 - Reds vs Crusaders

And now onto Ballymore this Friday night against the Crusaders.... It will be interesting to see if squad sizes are as large as they were last weekend and which of the top line Reds will be back. Hopefully we get to see Chambers and Braid in action along with most of the Wallabies. I hope we...

    Brumbies 2010

I will be interested to see how Hooper goes if he gets game time. Have seen some big wraps for this kid from a number of sources, including the redoubtable Lee Grant. A good opportunity for Jesse Mogg as well. To'omua at fullback is interesting. Thought he and Lealifano might have been selected...

    QLD Reds 2010

I actually thought S Fainga'a was handy at Lismore and I wouldn"t mind seeing how he goes against the Saders. His throwing at the lineout seemed quite accurate on Saturday and I did think he made himself busy in broken play.

    QLD Reds 2010

Wouldn't be giving him the starting 12 jersey just yet TOCC. I will be interested to see how Link selects backlines for the remaining trials. Ant Fainga'a is certainly a great defender, and a good talker and organiser in the backline, and his club combination with Cooper should be a plus. I...

Force vs Stormers vs Sharks: Neo Africa Tri Series

Wow!! That's an absolute shellacking, even if it is a trial match, and one in SA at that. Does anyone know the full Force side that ran out? Hope it doesn't leave too many mental scars on the Force rookies that played. It will be interesting to see how they bounce back in their next hitout over...
