    Gold Coast 7's

Simmons is massive! Look forward to seeing him step up in 2010. The other player to catch the eye yesterday was Jonno Lance. Very cool, strong and reads play well. He will be a good inside back support option for the Reds in 2010. Rod Davis looks like he has bulked up, but in one run showed the...

    Quade Cooper

Agreed Blue. He handled himself with great maturity. Good to see his head space has caught up with his obvious talents. Defensively he was strong as well, apart from getting bowled over by a rampaging forward at one stage, but that happens to the best of them from time to time.

    QLD Reds 2010

After the latest test performances, all of a sudden the reds options in the backs for 2010 look infinitely brighter. A number of backline combinations could be used. 9. Genia 10. Lucas 11. Morahan 12. Cooper 13. Ioane 14. Hynes 15. McLinden or 9. Genia 10. Cooper 11. Morahan 12. Turinui 13...

Hope Cooper gets some decent time standing at 10, as that's where he should be.

    Gold Coast 7's

Took a drive down the highway today to watch a few games. Bloody hot day and not enough shade, but some exciting stuff on display. Plenty of Pacific flavour. The Aussie Spirit, which I believe is the Aussie Sevens team got a fair old shock in pool play and were nearly upset by a Sunnybank side...

    The naza question

I actually thought it was pretty offensive. Reminded me too much of what I don't enjoy about other forums.

    Sanchez re-signs with Reds

And I watched him in one game for his new club, Teachers North, this year..

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2009

Very interesting to see the name of Joel Faulkner in that list. Missed out on all the domestic games and I did think he was a controversial omission on form in prior years. Who made way for him though?

    Mortlock dumped as captain

I hope having the Captaincy doesn't tone down Rocky's agression. Good for him, if passion is one of the requirements he has it in spades.

Pick your Wallaby team for EOYT

I would actually like to see Rob Horne get a bit of a run at 12 now that he has been named in the squad. He excelled in the position as a schoolboy, which is actually not that long ago.

Bit vanilla if you ask me.

Excellent match report RW. I have to agree with you on Stirzacker, he was very good and has a very decent pass.

Oh come on Tom, enough already! :)

Gags, as soon as he has his 'maroon injection' all past misdeeds will be forgiven.

    Rugby 7s at the Olympics

Fantastic news!! The opportunity to showcase any form of rugby on arguably the world's biggest stage is one nt to be missed. I'm backing that more than a few fringe 15 a side players are going to change their focus to the mini version of the game.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2009

Having just read Lance Free's match summary on the blog there is no need for me to try one here. Great report Lance, agree with everything but will have to take your word on the yummy mummy! Oh, and I thought the replacement 10 for OZ was Kyle Godwin? The scoreline really did flatter the young...
