Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2009

Ballymore the place to be next Friday 9th after work. OZ v. NZ schoolboys, looking forward to it.

    QLD Reds 2010

Mooney was unlucky, and so might the next guy be. Sack the Board, that's the real solution!

    November Tour Squad

IMO Kingi is still a raw work in progress. The other three should go.

    November Tour Squad

Won't begrudge Kingi at all Nod, just surprised is all. Playing injured for a couple of games didn't help Lucas.

    Shute Shield 2009

Re: 2009 Shute Shield Sat down in front of the box yesterday to watch the GF yesterday. Good standard of game from where I sat. Randwick did have their chances but didn't take them particularly in the second half. I thought a backline with Mitchell, Fainifo and Cummins might do a bit better...

    November Tour Squad

Have to say that the selection of Kingi is a major surprise to me, ahead of the likes of Phibbs and Holmes. I would have to say that Ben Lucas in particular must be disappointed given he is the No.2 Reds half. Maybe it is reward for a stellar 7's year as well as being an eye to the future...

    Matt To'omua plays CC Rugby

Matt To'omua's rugby education could not have been better scripted. A stint in theCurry Cup is just what the doctor ordered. As LG stated three years ago he is a brown Noddy Lynagh and IMO his game is suited to Saffer rugby. He and Quade Cooper are the future of Oz 5/8 play, for very different...

    The same old rubbish

Welcome to the forum Daz. Ithink your sentiment is a popular one. Probably too many similarly themed threads to this one doing the rounds. Maybe one of the Mods can merge it?

    Where are we - personnel

Young Fitzpatrick could be a bolter by 2011, and I wish Leroy Houston could get fit, as he has the raw ingredients to be a good 8.

    Club to Wallaby bolters

From my limited viewing of televised Shute Shield there are a couple of centres who seem to be penetrative runners. I know he has his detractors but Tom Carters, directness and attitude might be good enough for him to be a bolter.

    2009 Brisbane Club Competition

Brothers 26-19. Well done the filth! After the disappointment of last night it was good to watch a game featuring two committed and passionate teams. Donelly the lightweight winger was outstanding and scored a double. Souths were the superior scrum but Brothers got the points at the brakdown...

    Club to Wallaby bolters

Back on topic..Rob Horne would have to be a chance to tour.

    Five-eighth stocks - 2010 Super 14 lineups

I rate Jonno Lance. Watch him develop over the next couple of years. As a schoolboy he was Qld II and Australia A number 10 behind Matt To'omua. Very cool and tactical, and has inherited the tackling genes of his old man Dean.

All Blacks team named- 7 changes

Hope that is the reason for him not being there as he has been impressive IMO.

    2009 Brisbane Club Competition

A couple of match previews ahead of this weekend's grand final. (Hope this works) http://www.qru.com.au/library/news/2009/090917_coaches_opinion,69767.html http://www.qru.com.au/library/news/2009/090917_brothers_v_souths_grand_final_preview,69774.html Brothers look to be the favourites but I...

    Phil Mooney goooooooonnnnee

As a Reds supporter I just want to see an end to all this crap! 2010 will be a real test of faith for supporters, that's for sure.

    2009 Brisbane Club Competition

Well, Easts won't get to defend their title, going down 22-10 to Brothers at Ballymore. Brothers really only got away from Easts at the end but I can't see them getting up over Souths on that performance. Easts really took it to the Brothers forwards, and if it wasn't for a rare off day from...

    2009 Brisbane Club Competition

Gold Coast didn't turn up today, the ball didn't seem to bounce their way, and they got pumped 41-10 by Easts. Rex Tapuai showed glimpses of why he is a good player, and the No 7 for the Coast never stopped trying. Easts strengths are a dogged forward pack and the wise old head of Andrew Walker...

Wallaby Bok Brizzy Post-Match post here

He was playing for his country, so no boo's, but certainly didn't get as loud a cheer as the other Qldr's in the team.

    Shute Shield 2009

Re: 2009 Shute Shield Don't know whether it had anything to do with the quality of the opposition but Uni winger Edwards looked pretty good.
