It was good to see the Tah's keeping ball in hand and having a crack. Poor old Berrick really does look out of sorts but a few of the other guys stood up a little better. Blues have been a good side this year, so to beat them and snaffle a four try bonus point is a pretty fair effort.

Incredible story. Like everyone else I am in awe of the guy. Hope he goes well.

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

Re: Rebels deadline ends, update here on what you hear. Could prove to be if Link ever steps up to the Wallaby coach spot.

    Hooper to start

Not so sure Biffo. DHP and Stefano Hunt at the Force look like they were thrown into S14 too early, Davies and Connor were blooded too early, with the former lucky enough to turn things around. Gavin Warren got an S14 start a couple of seasons back as a prop, and hasn't been sighted since that...

    Hooper to start

I wish this young bloke well. Have heard a lot about him and he may just be another Pocock. Doesn't deflect from my held opinion that, apart from the absolute exception, most youngsters need more time. I'm totally in the LG and RW camp on this.

    Force v Bulls. Perthfontein.

Love to see the Force win this, but it will be a massive ask.

It's the odd week isn't it, so the Tah's to have a blinder. Some good selection changes there. Horne will find Ranger a handful but he defends that channel as well as anyone. Have to confess though, if I were the Tah's coach, this is the one week that I would be promoting safety first and...

    Cheetahs v Reds. Bloem.

Have to go with the Reds regardless of what team is selected. I think the last start team will be the go, with Davies eased off the bench. Should be a physical encounter but hopefully enough space for the backs to do their thing.

    Oz U20 team

The front row looks a real problem. Be interesting to see how Alo-Emilie goes in this company, and it is hard to say who other front rowers will be. Maybe David Feao, the Souths junior? Plays Brisbane Prems at prop and more than holds his own. As for hooker, don't know of any youngsters in Qld...

    Tahs v Force

Just watched the game and expected the worst reading a few comments on here. Not the best match, that's for sure but not as bad as some make out. Barnes definitely had a bad night and looks out of sorts. What's with all the over the top criticism of Anesi? Took the high ball well, defended...

    QLD Reds 2010

As an armchair commentator I think Turinui's omission from the SA touring squad is plain dumb. His positional sense is top shelf. However, Tapuai's selection more than suggests that he has been signed on and he is a 'clever' player who can fill the 13 spot if need be. Kennedy's selection ahead...

    QLD Reds 2010

I'm thinking that it is time for Reds supporters to get a bit of perspective (me included). Plenty of what I'm reading is a little over the top and a little premature. Yes it is great to see individuals step up and the team performing way above expectation, but remember where we were just a...

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

Much to Noddy's chagrin I will start with a conversation about backs. The Qld 9-10-12 combo is very compelling. Cooper is head and shoulders ahead of the other 10's in OZ at the moment.I've said it before, Fainga'a is a perfect foil for Cooper, and arguably the best defensive back in the...

    Mortlock for Aussie Fullback!

Stirling Mortlock has been a wonderful servant of OZ rugby and desrves to exit with his reputation intact. He should not be considered in any position for 2011.

    Progression Planning

I would be surprised if Byrne and Weeks did go. Byrne must surely be a motza for a lock partnership with Simmons next year, as I don't see too many second rowers putting up their hand to knock him off. Everything I hear about Weeks suggests he is a popular member of the Reds squad, and with...
