    Brumbies v Hurricanes, Canberra

I'm with everyone else here, that was very hard to watch. On that form the Brumbies will really struggle next week against the Tah's. They really do lack penetration and the ability to finish off. I cannot see thm in the Final Four. If Tahs supporters were pissed off at the start of the season...

    Reds 2011

I really hope all this talk about Quade Cooper's rugby future is mere speculation. He is one of the principal reasons the Reds have been on fire this season. The Reds have been great for him off the field, Genia is giving him every opportunity to be creative, Fainga'a is plaing superbly outside...

I mentioned surprise at Rokobaro being picked at 15 last week, and see he is at 12 tomorrow. How versatile is he and can anyone comment on how he went last week? Interesting to see Nicky Price in the top grade. He must have got his mojo back because he was downright ordinary in the games I saw...

    Reds v Bulls. Bris Vegas.

Brando Vaalu is quite physical, a good defender, and has the experience needed for such a big game. A good bench selection IMO.

I think you will see Walshy come off the bench. Could be a good game given the Coast beat Uni last week.

    SA vs NZ S14 clashes

Gee the Stormers looked good tonight. Becker was awesome, as was the hooker, and there is plenty to like about their centre combination. DeJong looks really good on his feet. On the other side of the coin the Chiefs looked really bad, except the young fullback.

We ignore Paarl's bleatings at our own peril. The Lions will be up for this match.

Been on leave Naza? Welcome back, and a lovely entree. Quite right in your comments, why the hell are we pinning our hopes on a 17 year old? However, Lee has nothing to answer for if you bothered to read all the threads.

I understand that Quirk is injured but watch Tupou go. The funny thing is, he was the Aussie school 's captain ahead of Gill, contrary to popular story. An outstanding backrower who will come under the eye of keen observers. I saw him in a club trial and he is an absolute goer.

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

My take would be " would be considered for selection in a World XV (plus bench) of the day".

    Lions Vs Reds. Bloem.

Hopefully we have a good lead at halftime so that a few key players can get a well earned rest. Great to see Tapuai on the bench, and look for a huge game from Taylor if he gets on. I'm thinking that Holmes will get serious game time as well. What happened to Kennedy?

Sorry, can't help you there Tranquility. Just going by what I read on the QRU website and what I hear around the traps. Hopefully the Courier Mail will publish teams tomorrow.

    2010 QLD Club Rugby

Some good info on this weekend's matches on the QRU website. Will be out of town but am looking forward to the reports. Looks like Uni have acquired plenty of new talent so will be interested to see how they go. Formidable team on paper. Easts have Matty Brandon returning which is a great thing...

The run home: the comp gets serious

The Reds obviously have to win this weekend, and assuming this happens, the following week against the Bulls, after the long trip, will be the season decider. I wonder how travel and battle weary the likes of Genia, Cooper and A Fainga'a will be, having played most minutes of all games to date...

I don't know much about their forwards but Norths are going to have a killer backline with the likes of Connor, Frank Genia, Bond, Luke Samoa and Faumauina. Pity the poor guys defending opposite big Sione.

    Shute Shield 2010

Re: 2010 NSW Club Rugby Interesting that Rokabaro has been preferred at 15. for Uni, ahead of both Betham and Taylor. Is that his usual position? Also, all the talk of Sitiveni Mafi going to league was obviously just that. I will be interested to see how he goes this year in club.

    Lions Vs Reds. Bloem.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Shaw doing a runner given that Gill has been preferred to him in terms of a contract. Not quite sure when Gill will be ready for the big time but it is a good investment in the future. Hopefully Tomiki steps up. I thought he looked ok in the trials, and he does...

    2010 QLD Club Rugby

Well, with Club rugby due to start next weekend I wonder whether anyone has up to date information on the squads, who has moved where etc... Promises to be an interesting season, with the Reds players not due to make an impact until the end of May, or even June. On that basis, Brothers to get...
