Back from the Sunny Coast where the home side took the lollies with a try on fulltime. Funny sort of game that stopped and started the whole time. Quite a number of misdirected kicks from both teams and plenty of dropped pill. Turinui made a massive difference to the Coast team when he came on...

    Reds 2011

I know people say it's poor form to quote oneself, but what the heck. This from August 30th 2008: Everyone agrees that Qld rugby has not had it's act together for some years but the incompetence of the past can't be corrected overnight. Don't forget the mess that Mooney and Co. have...

Fair enough RW. I didn't see the rod and reel.

Some good games this weekend. Off to the Sunny Coast today. They are a bit of an unknown to me but I have heard that the seven or so new kiwis in the side have given them some starch. Easts will be stronger with Quirk in and Walsh in the run on side. Crosby Park probably hosts the game of the...

G&GR Reds Player of the Match (v Stormers)

    3. S Fainga'a 2. A Fainga'a 1. Daley Everyone was good, yet again. Good form and confidence must be contagious. I thought Vaalu really stood up, as did Houston. Will Genia is really stamping himself as a leader of men. He has the ability to pony up when the going gets tough and definitely leads...

Battle of the form teams: Reds vs Stormers Brisbane

As a Reds fan I honestly can't believe that we have kept on winning. This year has been unbelievable! I thought we were better last week but to back up and get the points over what is arguably the best team in the comp is a massive effort. And... some of the Reds supporters on this forum need...

Seriously RW, bugger off back to NSW then if that's how you feel. What's keeping you here?

Waratahs V Brumbies. Sydney Olympic Stadium.

Tah's should, and need to, win this comfortably. Feels funny saying that when you see the lineups but...

Yeah, it was a good old fashioned punch up. Slipper had the better of it early but Ritchie bounced back with a few of his own at the end. As Scrubber said they bth threw a million each and looked stuffed at the end of it.

F*CK! IF YOU LOVE THE QLD REDS POST HERE!

Don't disagree. I don't consider the Brumbies to be candidates, especially after the tripe they served up on Friday. Do I want them to win this weekend? Hell yeah..do I think they will, not a chance. The Tah's are the OZ side most likely to make the four ahead of the Reds, so yes...I would...

Brumbies of course... no brainer. Just no need for some of the unneccesary chat being thrown around on this thread.

    Reds 2011

Does anybody else think that Phil Mooney deserves some of the credit for the 2010 Reds? He was the one, after all, who recruited the Fainga'a boys, Davies, Weekes et al. Unfortunately for him they just weren't ready last year.

Well down at the Coast the localsgot off to a very good start. Easts is a class team and they came back well, but indiscipline cost the\m a win in the end. nice old fashioned prop stoush between Slipper and Ritchie in the second half.. Johnny Wilder, the Easts Winger scored an eye catching try...

G&GR Reds Player of the Match (v Bulls)

    3. Will Genia 2. Scott Higginbottom 1. Will Chambers Having given those ratings I must say that it was the hardest selection to make all year. Saia Fainga'a was also enormous and Quade Cooper again proved he is the form 10. in the game at the moment.

    Reds 2011

Rodney Blake, now there's a thought. How has he been going overseas? Forget the talk about Cooper for a minute, one player who will be greatly missed in 2011 is Daniel Braid. He has been a tremendous asset to the team this year. Good to see all the non-selected Reds playing club rugby today...

Not sure whether to post here or on the Tipping page?? The Sunnybank front row of Anae, Avei and Edwards is a damn strong one for a club side. Interesting to see Stapleton at fulback for the Coast. Will be there for the game (then a quick dash to Suncorp) so will see how he goes. Obviously...

Terrace cries "we won't play against big boys anymore"

I haven't bothered to read any of the Courier Mail stories in depth, and have to confess not having read all the posts here. I just think it is all a bit hysterical. My opinion is that if a young boy shows potential to be excellent, in their chosen field, whether it be sport, music, academia or...
