I'm going to put my hand up and say I watch no Japanese rugby, and only limited Euro rugby, so don't really think I can do it

    Wallabies 2024

Yeah, it's the limit of 3 in the squad that will probably make the bigger difference. Although I think there are probably a half dozen players who currently aren't eligible, who should be in the conversation for a squad spot if we want to put our best team out with no restrictions. Not just...

    Wallabies 2024

I think you are reading far too much into what's being done to make sure we are as competitive as possible leading into and then against the Lions next year. A 0-3 rout would be just about lights out, but winning nothing before that series would be just about as bad

    Super Rugby General Chat

Tahs v Reds on 31 May is shaping up to be a massive match if the Reds can't get their season back on track. Last round, might be a playoff for the last finals spot

    Rd 8: Rebels v Highlanders - Sat 13th

Alternatively, perhaps the guaranteed payments from RA has meant the players and coaches haven't had to worry about their next paycheck and can focus on their footy

I'm not saying they should pick him, but it would open the door to people like La Rochelle's Kerr Barlow. Guys who are eligible but haven't layed enough in Australia to qualify under current Giteau Law

I think we do compete for props, it's just that a potential rugby prop is often just a RL second rower willing to maintain 130kg.

    Wallabies 2024

It's interesting that we have so many relatively good options at 6 for players with body shapes who would probably attract interest from RL, and we don't have anywhere near the same depth at 4+5

    Rd 8: Rebels v Highlanders - Sat 13th

They definitely wanted the kick taken before time was up. The shot clocks are getting started way too late. Same as last night. The kickers are getting and taking two minutes instead of 90 seconds

    Rd 8: Rebels v Highlanders - Sat 13th

Try scored at 78:15, and Gordon took the kick at 79:55. Doesn't matter tonight, but Super Rugby needs to get these shot clocks started earlier and with more accuracy

He can do whatever he wants with as many cheeseburgers as he likes if we get offloads like that

    Rd 8: Rebels v Highlanders - Sat 13th

They are supposed to remove a player for HIA off field assessment if there is suspicion of a head impact with potential to cause concussion. There is no on-field test to prove they don't have it. I would argue that an impact to the back of the head which required so many stitches and did result...

Waratahs v Crusaders, Friday 12th April, in Sydney

I think the most likely explanation is Berry knew try was scored at 78:28 (told by TMO), but 90 seconds shot clock was started 10 seconds later, after try was awarded, when Berry first talks to TMO. So Berry managed it by allowing the player to convert in line with what the shot-clock said, but...

Isn't the problem that he wasn't taken off for an HIA, so can't have been properly assessed at the time?

    Queensland Reds 2024

The reverse angle is the damning one. I don't think he would, or should get off. Will be a pretty straight forward suspension for me

Waratahs v Crusaders, Friday 12th April, in Sydney

Isn't the simpler explanation is the shot clock expired before time-off and the kicker couldn't prevent the kick-off?

Waratahs v Crusaders, Friday 12th April, in Sydney

Just watched (and listened) to it again. It sounds like the ref asks the TMO if the player can drain the clock, but we don't ever hear the answer. Commentators aren't that clear either. We never see the shot clock on the scoreboard to see what the difference is. Just going off what we can see...

    Queensland Reds 2024

Experiment with playing tighter, especially on attack. After the Force worked over the Reds attacking breakdown work, other coaches marked it, and they have now put on less than 20 against Brums and MP (Moana Pasifika) Whoever is coming in isn't going to be as good a link player as McReight, so don't try and...

    Queensland Reds 2024

Individually it's a big loss, but I think this will be a good chance for Kiss to review the structure of his backrow. What he has been running with over the last three weeks just isn't working.

Round 8: Moana Pasifika v Qld Friday April 12

Spinning the judiciary wheel of fortune..... My guesses. Tate gets mid-range striking. Which starts at 5 weeks and gets 2 weeks off for wearing his best suit = 3 week suspension McReight gets mid-range high tackle. Starts at 6 weeks and gets 3 weeks off for a lovely smile + one more week off...
