Pressure on the Waratahs to make the Finals

I really hope that the Tah's can get up in this game but it will be a massive ask. Just be good to see two Aussie sides in the finals.

the number 12 that the waratahs is looking for.

The ideal No. 12 for the Tahs is already in the squad....Rob Horne. If he can get past his injuries he would be a revelation there and a centre pairing of Horne and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) in 2012 would be one of the strongest in the comp. IMO, with Barnes' ongoing concussion issues 10. is the position of...

    Reds 2011

I mentioned it in the other thread but Lei Tomiki was recruited as an openside. Just don't know if he's been playing club?

    Reds vs Brumbies, 2011R16

Lei Tomiki is a bit of a forgotten man. He is a specialist open side and was up to the standard in the trials earlier this year. Question is, has he been playing Club and how has he been going?

IRB U/20 Tournament and Oz Squad

Joel Faulkner is out with a shoulder injury. Anyone have an idea who the next outside back off the cab rank is?

    Sharks v. Tahs - 2011R15

I've only seen some brief Foxtel highlights of the game but Halangahu looks like he went alright. Unlike the Tah's not to close out a tight one when they had their heads in front.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2011

The Souths v Easts game was a bit of an arm wrestle until the last five minutes when Johnny Wilder scored the second of his tries. He and Toby White were quite outstanding for Easts in the backs. Toby is a big lump of a lad and playing at 13 was very strong in contact and made some telling line...

The only result I'm not sure of is Suncoast v GPS but the last I heard was Suncoast was up at half time. In other results Brothers smashed the Goldie 62-0, Wests got up over Norths, Uni got up 27-7 over Sunnybank, and Easts ground out a 20-5 win at Souths.

    Reds 2011

Apart from Toua there are a few in the Reds 'backline stable' that need an eye kept on, particularly if JOC (James O'Connor) 'comes home'. I'm thinking Jonno Lance and Kimami Sitauti, but Harris and Tapuai would also be looking at the whole JOC (James O'Connor) thing with interest. I've said it before but Lance would be an...

    Shute Shield 2011

Good question, what has happened to Tala Grey? He was part of that strong 07 schools side and was actually the preferred 8 to Jake Schatz for the run on side in most games. I believe he has had one or two bad injuries, has he got over them?

Big rwc news - nine is going to put effort in

To be fair to the crew at Offsiders, I don't think any of them are particularly knowledgeable about Rugby and would prefer not to prattle on about something they know little or nothing about. I think that's fair enough. They did have Adam Freier on one Sunday morning and he was given a good run...

    Cipriani

He seems to have been a bit of a twat, but given Kingi was reprieved a while ago, why hasn't he been let back in? Could it really be about the money? If so, that is pretty lame, as he has been one of their best on field, apart from the on diabolical defensive game he had.

    Force v Hurricanes 2011R15

Why hasn't Alfi Mafi been given a chance to start in the centres? I know this is a big step up from schoolboys but I remember him going well at both 12 and 13, at a very elite schools level.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2011

Ging into Week 5 it's going to be another interesting round of games. Match of the Round for mine is Uni v Sunnybank. Two good forward packs but I think that Uni might just have it in the backs. They will miss Prior though. I'm still not sure what to make of GPS? Beat reigning premiers...

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

This match is going to be the biggest test of QC (Quade Cooper)'s kicking game to date. Field position will be crucial and any aimless or mistimed kicks will have the potential to be mercilessly punished.

    Elsom: In or Out?

I don't disagree with Deans' comments, with the caveat that Elsom has to prove that he is fit and worthy of a starting position. If he does demonstrate that he is fit and has some form, then yeah...as the incumbent he should be allowed to resume the captaincy. Having said that, I personally...

    Brumbies vs Stormers @ Canberra - 2011R15

Keep the faith Paarl. The Reds had a similar mental block that was done away with earlier this year.

"Saving the Union": Reds' CEO's Views

I have bought an annual seat at Suncorp that entitles me to every game(rugby, soccer, league) played in 2011. The only one I am paying for is the Bledisloe but I get first dibs on the seat. Everything else is part of the up front payment, and it extended to Roar final tickets last year, so I...

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

Anyone got an update on who's injured in both camps? I'm assuming that the likes of Morahan and Lucas will be good to go after the weekend off but who remains on the sideline? This is building to be an awesome game and with the crowd that looks like rocking up the atmosphere will be something...
