    Wales v Wallabies, Cardiff, Nov 30 2013

2 things stood out for me. Our forwards sense of urgency was outstanding. Our backs are now running straight and can use the full width of the field more effectively. Terrific team effort and they looked like they had a ball out there.

    Waratahs 2014

Sadly Kurtley has an enduring problem with alcohol. It's a disease that's cruel and doesn't go away. You can get as angry with Weidler as you like but he's reporting fact. Who can, or who will help Kurtley to help himself?

    Shute Shield 2014

Bad call Crashy, he came down as a kid to Randwick and played colts there.

    Wallabies have a drinking problem?

P Probably the other factor that needed to be considered was how much alcohol was consumed. What's worse, home early but smashed OR home really late but sober?

    Wallabies have a drinking problem?

I think RUPA have a fair point. They were never informed or consulted about the penalties and their primary role is to represent the player's interests. If it's good enough for the ARU to rely on RUPA to lower player's pay, it's good enough to involve them in handling this matter and the issuing...

    Wallabies have a drinking problem?

You might have missed one category Cat_A. Not in playing squad but home really late but not absolutely disgraceful. It begs the question of what's worse - Home a little late with a few beers under your belt OR home really late and not having been drinking.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

The great players still play smart and use their energy when they need to. Its about outcome not effort.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

The skill is to let them know they've only got say 60 mins on the field so they bust their arses and cram everything into that time and don't leave anything in the tank. You can always leave them on for extra time if they're travelling well. It's no coincidence that players often do something...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Being a 'bench player' has had a stigma attached to it. The sooner we place increased value on bench players being impact players the better. Years ago there was a stigma attached to jumpers that were numbered outside the starting set of numbers. Then a guy called Michael Jordan came along and...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

When will rugby really wake up to the opportunity represented by the injection of the right player at the right time from the bench? Soccer has been using astute substitutions for years and Tim Cahill coming on last night and scoring the winning goal is further evidence. If Pocock and...

    Wallabies have a drinking problem?

Is anyone developing a new GAGR t-shirt on this topic?

    Ireland v Australia, Dublin, 16 Nov 2013

Thought Horwill play a good tight lock's game last night. His ball carrying needs improvement but his tackling, hitting and driving was impressive.
  15. It is what it is

    Ireland v Australia, Dublin, 16 Nov 2013

Body height and leg drive will be critical against what I expect to be a typically hard working Irish pack. Great chance for Horwill to back himself and go after O'Connell physically. He doesn't have to be captain to play a key leadership role.

    All Blacks vs France

Really enjoying watching Kieran Read play. Everything he does is accurate in execution. He plays equally well in attack and defence, plus he's loving his rugby and it shows.

    Good Players Playing Badly

If Genia was a horse he'd be sent for a spell. We want him winning Group 1 races for us not picking up minor prize money in mid-week handicaps.

    Good Players Playing Badly

Maybe we need to be more proactive in managing the careers of our players. NZ have done a great job retaining their star players by allowing and supporting sabbaticals. McCaw, Carter and now Smith have been supported in either taking time off or taking on an overseas assignment to freshen them...
